  I frequent AutoZone locations all over the DMV for my mobile automotive work and usually have solid experiences, but my visit to the Rockville, MD store was extremely disappointing. The commercial account manager I dealt with was unnecessarily rude and condescending. When I asked a simple question about tax on an item, I was met with comments like “What, you don’t know what you need?” and “You’ve never done taxes before?”—which was completely unprofessional. When I tried to de-escalate the situation, he responded with “I’m not your friend,” in a hostile tone. I understand everyone can have a rough day, and I’m very patient and respectful with people in customer-facing roles—but this behavior is unacceptable, especially from someone in a management position dealing with commercial customers. I rely on AutoZone regularly for my business and expect a basic level of professionalism and respect. Unfortunately, this experience fell far short of that. Good luck to this location!

  I had a very disappointing experience at AutoZone in Rockville involving two staff members, one named Edgar and another shorter employee whose name I did not catch. We parked briefly, had a quick lunch nearby, and planned to buy from the store, but our car was towed almost immediately, costing us $170. The two employees came outside, looked directly at our car, and shortly after it was towed, which made us feel targeted. When we asked about it, the staff were rude, sarcastic, and dismissive. I later saw multiple reviews describing similar towing issues and poor service, which is concerning. If enforcement is consistent, why was our car singled out so quickly? This experience left us feeling disrespected and discouraged from returning.

  The Sales Manager Edgar has the worst attitude while talking with clients. Do not use this location they have no working parts knowledge. Please do not go here if you need help with your car! They will sell you the wrong part and not give you credit back either: this location needs a complete management over haul and retraining.

  Make sure to pack some extra cash for parking at this location as they will likely tow your car, whether you are a customer or not. This location engages in predatory towing and has for several years. Check the other Google reviews and their Yelp. In my case, they took advantage of limited parking because of the snow storm and obscured signs by snow piles.

  Excellent staff! These sales representatives and managers are very knowledgeable. And they know their stuff! Especially the Commercial parts managers, such O.B. He has helped me plenty of times making the correct parts purchase decisions. I highly recommend this store.
