AVOID THIS LOCATION AT ALL COSTS.
Saturday 1/31
1pm - Windshield Damaged
1:30pm - Made appointment with call center for 2/2 drop-off between 7:30-9:30am (Very pleasant and professional, Ricardo in FTL FL)
2pm - Confirmation of appointment received.
Monday 2/2
-8:35am Car dropped off…. Now for the fun part.
-1pm I call to check on the status. You cannot reach the shop directly, just call centers. Call Center Agent tries twice to reach the shop and gets no answer. Has to leave message for me to be called back. Assures me all their work is same-day and it will be ready by 5pm.
-1:30pm get a call back from a technician who didn’t give their name. They explained the glass for my vehicle was not on the delivery of windshields for the day and will not be ready until tomorrow. I stated this was unacceptable as I will now need to rent a vehicle for tomorrow. I tell the technician that for this major delay (same day service turns into two days) and that I want to speak with the manager about the quote. He agrees and will have the manager call me.
-3pm with still no call back from Safelite Management after the 1:30pm call, I make arrangements with another company. I call the call center again to cancel my appointment that they quietly moved in the system to tomorrow. It took the call center agent over 15 minutes to reach someone to tell them cancel my appointment and that I am heading back to pick up the car.
-4:15pm car picked up untouched and desk attendant gave me mangers name.
Things happen, the glass wasn’t delivered. Either they didn’t have my glass on the order, or the warehouse didn’t pull it. Again, I understand these types of things happen.
This is where the one-star is truly earned. At what point did someone there realize they didn’t have my materials? Was it not realized until I had the cell center leaving messages about me wanting the status? If so, management isn’t doing a good job managing their days operations.
If they did know before then, why would you not contact the customer and tell them there’s a problem with your same-day service? Had I known they couldn’t do the job today I could have looked elsewhere. The burden was placed on the customer to find out they couldn’t complete the work in the scheduled time and by then it was too late for an alternative that day. This also cost me an additional day of a rental.
Neither of those things were done. I never even got to speak with or meet this “manager” Phil Williams, but based on my experience he shouldn’t be managing a snowball stand. If you use this location, and it’s still being ran by Phil Williams, do not go into this expecting professionalism or accountability. This man had my car all day, unable to do anything with it, and didn’t even have the courtesy to let me know that, much less apologize.
I would encourage anyone needing glass repair to look at other locations at the least, or independent glass repair shops, which will be my choice moving forward.

Nonexistent communication! From start to finish, the experience was an absolute nightmare! The website made it easy enough to schedule my appointments, but then twice technicians called me to inform me they couldn’t perform the mobile installation of my windshield and I had to question multiple times deeper to come to the conclusion that I needed to bring my vehicle into an in person service location. The fact that the technician wasn’t savvy enough to just tell me that to begin with was extremely irritating and a poor reflection on your business model.
The technician assistants revealed that the location was severely understaffed for the work the website allowed to be booked. Again a very unprofessional failure of your business model.
Then, not only did the technicians not communicate effectively about the timing, the scheduling, the availability of necessary tools and equipment, but they also didn’t inform me (until after I questioned the delays) that they had damaged my vehicle and that that created a multiple hour delay in the service.
There’s also not a phone number to be able to call the location directly, which made it extremely difficult to talk to anyone about coming back to pick up my vehicle which then impacted other decisions I needed to make for the rest of my day. The ridiculous excuse for updates portal on the website were nonexistent. I could not find out any information about the actual status of my vehicle as it was being serviced which was really just gross misrepresentation of a façade of communicating. This was the worst business experience I’ve had in a very long time. And my disappointment is at the moment unmatched.
Revamp your business model to take customers into consideration. You’re clearly willing to take our hundreds and thousands of dollars, with no real interest in customer service or communication. I waited over 6 hours waiting for my vehicle which was supposed to be serviced within 2 to 3 and at no point in all of that time did your technician proactively try to communicate with me. In fact, as I reached out to them a number of times, especially with increasing frequency after my initial three hour window had been passed by over an hour, no one communicated with me at all or responded to phone calls through customer service representative. I couldn’t reach anyone. I couldn’t get any answers and I couldn’t find out the status of my vehicle.
This business is UNPROFESSIONAL and I would not recommend it to anyone unless it was the last option available to them. We deserve better. You do not deserve our dollars.
