- NNnSep 19, 20251.0MIKE is a bottom of the barrel worker. I went there to get a new battery and he had an attitude the whole time. Didn’t even want to install it (which is part of their job btw). When the battery was installed I had questions bc it made the interface of my car change. He got mad saying it was other customers inside… like dude I’m leaving unless my car is back to how I brought it to you. Lol he was mad bc he had to do his job? So I called my dad n mike pissed me off even more bc he was making head gestures indicating he wanted my dad to hurry up and finish talking when my dad has a speech impediment….should’ve slapped him

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
