- MDMelanie DorbertNov 13, 20251.011/14/25 UPDATE I noticed afrer having my car returned that my brake pedal felt different when I would depress it to start my car, or depress it after driving for a bit qithout touching my break pedal. The brake pedal was no longer tight, the petal would have to be depressed to the floor of the car before the brakes would catch. After a few days of this, asked my husband to take the car for a drive to get his thoughts. He agreed that what we were feeling wasn't normal and thought there had been air in the brake line. After checking to make sure i had brake fluid (which was full), he went back to Joe Hudsons to ask what exactly did the repair of my back bumper entailed. The associate denied that anything was done to the break line even though removing my back bumper could have hit the brake line. My husband then took my car to our local mechanic and was told the problem definitely is air in the brake line, and its possible the brake line was accidentally disconnected, and instead of bleeding the line, it was just reconnected. I took my car in for a bumper repair after being bumped into - the damage was 2 scratches - nothing major. My brakes worked just fine when I took my car in, and after picking the car up, there is an issue. We are aggravated because, while we understand mistakes happen, just admit it and fix the mistake correctly. Per Joe Hudson, "nothing was documented", so thats how they evade liability. After rhis encounter, I will no longer use Joe Hudson, will not recommend Joe Hudson, and will be calling the insurance company that recommended Joe Hudson to share this experience. As a side note - my car is 2 years old and has had all recommended maintenance on time.
