Before the service started, I specifically asked for the price and was told $99.99 for a full synthetic oil change. Based on that, I agreed and went inside to wait. After quoting the $99.99 price, they mentioned—as they often do at this location—that they did not have the correct oil filter for my Volvo. Because this happens frequently here, I had brought my own filter as a backup and told them they could use it, which they did. Despite this, I was never informed during the service that there would be any additional charges. No one came to let me know that extra fees would apply or explained why. After the service was completed, I was charged $125 at the register. Even though they used my own oil filter, which is worth at least $10, the invoice showed only a $2 discount. The extra $25 charge was never clearly explained or communicated beforehand. The issue is not the price itself, but the lack of transparency and communication. A shop that regularly services vehicles should have the proper filters available, and if additional costs are involved, customers should be clearly informed before being charged. For these reasons, I was not satisfied with this experience.
