  Poor communication and they allow you to reserve vehicles that they don't actually have.

  My car was in a no fault accident recently and the other person’s insurance chose Enterprise for my rental. New to me because whenever I rent I normally go to National. Anyway, even though I had a Tahoe the insurance company would only allow me to get an intermediate size car. I called the Enterprise in Middle River, Maryland to see if that size was available and they told me yes. I headed right over. When I got there I was told by the manager that they in fact did not have an intermediate size car and all they had was an economy. He kept trying to get me to up-charge and pay out of pocket the difference for a SUV. I told him absolutely not, I am not paying a dime. This was a “no fault” accident and I am not willing to pay anything for this rental. I immediately feel taken advantage of because I just got off the phone with them and they told me an intermediate car was available. I believe they just told me that to get me in the door. I tell him that the economy is way too small especially since I am already sacrificing coming from a Tahoe. The male manager and a female worker spoke quietly to themselves for a few minutes then the female tells me they now have an intermediate car available. Red flag #2. I follow her to the car. We look around for any damage. None is there. The tank is only half full. A little annoyed by that but ok. She says because of the light interior there are some spots that they know about but this is no worry because it is to be expected because of the light color. I say ok. I am a little late for a meet because of the delay with them trying finding a car so I just leave. I get to my destination about 7 minutes later. I turn to get my purse that I just tossed in the back and something tells me to just look around. Now never in my over 40 years have I ever thought to inspect the INSIDE of a rental car. All the cars I have always rented are typically newer models. Really fresh, upholstery up to date. When I looked around this car I was mortified. The car was completely FILTHY!!!! I mean FILTHY. Stains on the seats. On the roof of the car. And black dog hair all over the back seats. I immediately called the office and spoke to this “manager” and told him about this disgusting car! I told him I was on my way to bring it back asap and couldn’t believe he would rent something like this out to a customer. If he would do this as a manager imagine what the staff would do!!! He apologized when I got there. I ask him does he not look at his rentals when they are returned before he re-rents them? More rhetorical because I know they do. He didn’t answer. All of a sudden the female worker comes out and apologize and says they have something ready for me. It’s a small SUV/crossover type Im guessing the one he originally wanted me to pay for. All of a sudden now I can have it. I was just so disgusted I just look over the car, completely this time, make sure there is no extra fees and leave. I would love to say this is where this nightmare ends but its not. My truck is a total loss. We need the rental a few more days than what the insurance will allow. In my contract and through text they have a rate that be will charged daily if I need to keep the vehicle longer than the insurance coverage. When I call to extend it for a few more days the same manager tells me it will be a HIGHER RATE because I now have the crossover!!!! I said I didn’t ask for that, that was your fault for putting me in a filthy car are you kidding me??? Guess what? He wasn’t kidding me. Said it was nothing he could do and I had to pay the higher rate. Needless to say I will never be going to Enterprise again. In case you think any of this was made up, yes I took pictures and will be attaching them. Enterprise you can see how fast the other car was exchanged. I promise it couldn’t have been 15 minutes. I am disgusted!

  From the minute we walked into the Mide River location the staff was helpful, friendly and fast service. We were in and out within minutes and the drop off was even quicker and went smooth. We really appreciated the staff and how the made the process easy.
