- SSSherry StephensonFeb 22, 20261.0I called around looking for snow salt and I understand that it is like gold these days with the upcoming snow storm. I went online and it states that they had some available for pick up on the Advance Auto Parts site, which now I realize it is the Carquest Auto Parts. I called the store just to make sure that the product was available. After being on hold for a long time, a gentleman answered the phone to tell me that to be honest he only had a few bags left and they were for first come first serve. So I proceeded to ask does that mean if I place my pick up order and get there first can I get the product, and should I continue with my online pick-up order? He continued tell me again that it is first come first serve so it's not guaranteed. Okay so I sent my daughter there 4 mins away and when she got there she could see 6 bags behind the counter. He told here that he did not have any available and they were for online orders. She went to the car and waited for me to call back to find out exactly what the "first come first serve" policy is, and I was put on hold for awhile again before deciding to hang up. My daughter stated that someone that pulled up next to her and went in and came out with a bag. Well they just lost a customer and happy to say that I found plenty at ACE Hardware in Columbia MD.
