- RRRoseJan 15, 20261.0I think consistency with a company is important and professionalism as well! I don't do kindly with people raising their voices when they're trying to explain something to me. I wanted my 10% discount because I'm a veteran. The store manager would not honor it, because the item was on sale. He has honored it in the past with past purchases that were on sale. I've been coming in there for a long time, but I will no longer walk in those doors, because I don't like people that raise their voices and I like consistency with a company.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
