My Wolkswagen Passat was involved in an accident and my insurance sent me to Gerber. The entire team was very helpful. I worked mostly with Antonio lozano Hernandez. He was very kind and patient. His professionalism will definitely make me refer Gerber of Germantown to my friends.

So far, so good. Someone hit my 2 week old 60,000 vehicle. Needless to say, I'm sick over it. My first accident and I'm 63. I went to Gerber to talk about the process and concerns. The gentleman walked outside with me. Showed me repairs the car needed and explained it in detail. Was upfront about turnaround time with parts and explained Kia was about a week behind on shipments. He was patient and understood how much I wanted my car to "still feel new". He was so kind and patient with all my questions. Repairs are not completes yet but I will keep you posted. Fingers staying crossed.

While this shop is reputable for quality work. They have become so busy and greedy that they send cars they can't get to, to a much more inferior Gerber shop in Gaithersburg. If this shop is working on your car good but if they say they will move the vehicle for "load balancing" purpose look for another shop. Quality of repairs?1 My Ram 2500 was returned to me unfinished with blemishes on the paint as well as areas of my truck were not repaired. They turned it in to my wife as finished and did not even attempt to do Quality assurance. Had to involve my insurance to assist. Satisfaction with customer service?1Anthony printed out a picture of my damaged truck stating it was prior damage citing a old claim I had made ON A DIFFERENT TRUCK Anything could be improved? Quality - improve part fit/alignment My bumper was 1/2 off level, my rear door was a 1/8 off on one side and flush on the other. Clear example that quality control is lacking. Vehicle ready when promised?NoIt was stated to be "ready" but was far from finished and ended up leaving the truck another week. Kept informed during repair process?NoThey said it was finished but had i not reviewed it, they're lack of quality work would have resulted in my truck prematurely rusting Cleanliness of the vehicle when it was returned? No Would you recommend shop to friend or family?1I have been a Gerber customer for over 12yrs always opting to use them for all my repairs. After seeing the level of carelessness and unprofessional behavior I will have to resort to other more reputable businesses Reason for score given for friend/family referral?Repair qualityHad they repaired all the reported damages the first time, I would still do bussiness with Gerber. Additional work?YesThey had only repaired the most apparent damage and ignoring the smaller detail work. Reason for return? The truck had quarter panel and bed door damage. While they fixed the quarter panel they left the following issues. >Paint runs on quarter panel >Put the truck together while still having wet paint resulting in stripped paint. > quarter panel trim was not installed correctly. Trim was ill fitting > truck bed door was superficially repaired but structural damage was left untouched > rear bumper was 1/2 off level (visually noticable) > deformities on wheel well. >Very very sloppy work, complete hack job.
