  I had a great experience with buying my car from King VW. My (new to me/used) '22 Taos was the car I was looking for, and King had the keys. I definitely recommend getting a pre-approval if you can, it made the process super easy. My salesman Anton was the man! Definitely recommend them if are in the DMV and are looking for a new VW. I went with the Taos since it is similar to the Tiguan but more fuel efficient. And that color was nowhere else to be found. I was looking for a CR-V from the past generation, but the Taos checked many boxes at well less of a price and that this one had low miles. I got a great deal!

  To be clear, I HATE buying cars…from the bottom of my soul. When I came to King VW in Gaithersburg, I was fully prepared to tell all car sales men to leave me alone while I look around. When Tasawar Tamoor (Tassi) came up to me and my momma, I was hesitant and annoyed. However, he was patient , kind, informative, and most importantly…he was not pushy. He showed grace to my mom, heard me out on what my MUST HAVES were in a car, and took his time to show me every car that I had interest in. Tassi didn’t try to push the highest price vehicle or extra warranties/products BUT did share how different warranties/product would benefit me and the protection of the vehicle. We worked together for three days and I am now the owner of a lovely certified pre owned Kia that I love. I cannot thank him enough and encourage EVERYONE to go to him when it’s time to buy a car.

  I stopped by just to get my front car tag installed, and I was truly impressed by the excellent customer service provided by Kevin Fluke, Gwayne McKay and their team. Even though it was a quick visit, they treated me with the same professionalism and care as if I were making a major purchase. They were friendly, efficient, and made the whole process fast and hassle-free. Both Kevin and Gwayne went out of their way to ensure the tag was installed perfectly and that I was satisfied before I left. On top of that, without me even asking, they had my car washed—which was such a thoughtful and appreciated surprise. It’s rare to receive such attentive service for something so small, but they made the experience memorable. I really appreciate their help and would highly recommend them to anyone visiting the dealership!

  I had a very disappointing experience at King Volkswagen Collision Center involving both the manager, Bob, and my advisor, Chris. My vehicle was brought in four weeks ago. I was initially told I would be able to pick it up on Friday, three weeks ago. When I arrived and inspected the car, I immediately noticed that the repair work on the left fender was poorly done. To Chris’s credit, he did not argue and ultimately replaced the fender. When I picked up the vehicle again yesterday, I noticed multiple dents on the right fender that were not present before. These dents are subtle and difficult to see unless the light hits the panel at the right angle, which suggests a lack of thorough inspection and care. When I brought this to Chris’s attention, he stated that he would only remove two of the three dents I found and referred to this as a courtesy, along with fixing the earlier repair issue. This should not be considered a courtesy. I brought my vehicle in with the expectation that all damages would be properly repaired. That expectation was not met. When the manager came out to address the situation, he was unhelpful and dismissive. During the conversation, Chris walked away, and the manager agreed that it was acceptable for him to do so. At no point was I disrespectful. The interaction was handled unprofessionally and reflected poorly on the level of customer service being provided. The manager then stated that he has worked on vehicles worth over two hundred thousand dollars belonging to congressmen and senators. This comment was completely irrelevant and came across as degrading. The value of my vehicle does not change the fact that I take care of my personal property and expect it to be returned in the same condition it was in prior to the accident. The manager offered paintless dent repair, and I told him I was willing to wait while he attempted to contact his technician. Instead, he dismissed me by saying have a good day and walked away, explaining that his technician often does not respond right away. I had already taken time out of my day to drive thirty minutes to the shop and another thirty minutes back, and my time was clearly not respected. Within two minutes of me leaving the repair center, the manager called and asked if I could turn around, which I declined. I made it clear that customer service should be a priority. Unfortunately, this shop failed in that regard. The manager’s final response to my concerns was that this is America and I am entitled to my opinion, which further demonstrated the dismissive attitude I experienced throughout this process. As a result, I will be in touch with my insurance company to transfer the remaining repairs to a different shop.
