Just this evening I bought a replacement battery for my car and after putting the new battery in my car would not idle and would stall... Unfortunately I bought the battery from another business and they could not help... I was very worried and thought that I was going to have to spend a ton of money to have my car towed to a mechanic and even miss work, but limped my car to Advance Auto where I should have gone to begin with and Matt helped me with the diagnostics and found out that all my car needed was a simple throttle body relearn which was very easy free fix problem solved.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
