GO ELSEWHERE. Admin from the shop called to say I needed to bring the car into the shop since it was going to rain all day. Fine. I cleared my entire day for the 1pm-6pm window so I could be available. She told me someone would call me to tell me when to bring it in. Never got the call, text, email. At 4pm, I called the shop and they have no note or record of anyone needing to call me for my appointment. Wasted an entire day waiting on a call due to incompetence.

Technician arrived after the arrival window I was given. I ended up walking to an appointment so that I could leave my car at the house for the tech to complete the work. Also the rubber seal around the windshield does not appear to cover as much around the windshield as the original windshield did so I’m really hoping this isn’t a problem down the road.

The shop in Columbia did a good job. Technician was excellent and my windshield looks great. Only complaint is that speaking to a live person was next to impossible. Having a lot of automation is fine, but sometimes things occur where the ability to speak to a live person is very important.

I had a full windshield replacement performed by Safelite at their Columbia, Maryland location at 9255 Berger Road, Columbia, Maryland 21046. After the replacement, a crack developed in the dashboard at the base of the windshield, directly adjacent to the windshield seating area. I returned for a scheduled inspection, where staff verbally stated the issue was “not warranty related,” but declined to provide the determination or its reasoning in writing. Despite requesting documentation, no written findings, policy citation, or technical explanation were provided. In addition to the damage itself, I was disappointed by the unprofessional handling of the situation, including the refusal to document the decision or explain the basis for it. I have escalated this matter to Safelite corporate and am requesting a transparent, written review and resolution. I hope Safelite corporate will address both the underlying issue and the way this concern was handled at the store level.

While we were off to a good start because I showed up exceedingly early and they started early, this has been about the most unprofessional transaction of my life. Very little has to do with the installation, but while in the waiting room area, I heard my 700 hp truck take off at max performance and continue at full bore. When they came back after 25 minutes after "road test", I was down a quarter tank of gas, plus the mileage calculator showed 12.9 vs by 13.4 drop off. plus they left a tool inside (electronic calibration tool to work with software...high $$ which I was decent enough to return before I departed), to find out 2 days later, they didnt tighten down my windshield wipers. Left mediocre feedback to corporate because I didnt know about the windshield wipers at that time...and to date, havent heard one peep. Go to this place, apparently, if you want a ferris bueller type experience, and count on no accountability or recognition of an off quality experience.... FOLLOW UP- As you can see from Safelite's response, no accountability is taken. Sure a road test is reasonable... but unleashing the whole engine to the point where the gas gauge is moved and your computer shows a massive mpg counter hit? Na bruh. Thats not a road test, thats a joy ride. Thanks for proving that you don't care to improve.
