The sales associate, Griffen, was very helpful and not pushy in any way. After test driving and going through the vehicle, he asked if we were Costco members because there was a deal ending that day (end of October) that would give us $1,250 back due to being an Executive Member at Costco. We said we needed to think about it and left for an hour or so. After thinking about it more, the deal seemed too good to pass up. So, I called Griffen back and said I wanted to check a few more things out but was thinking this was it. He said great and would have it ready when we arrived. We decided to purchase it after going through the few remaining questions I had due to the Costco discount. We proceeded to start the paperwork and then Griffen headed to his boss’s office to finalize the paperwork. When Griffen returned, this is when the 5-star experience went to 0 stars. He first apologized as he walked back in, so I knew right away something was wrong. He then said the car was not certified pre-owned even though the sticker on the windshield said it was. He said they never drop the prices since they are a no-haggle dealership but would lower it $550 due to the mess up with the Costco discount. So instead of $1,250 off, they offered $550 off. I said “nope, we were walking away.” My biggest issue with all of this is that the sticker on the windshield said Certified Pre-Owned. So that is false advertising. Then instead of making it right with a potential buyer that has his cash in his hand and wanting to give it to them, they throw it back in my face and only offer $550 off. They could have comped the service plan they offered or ponied up the full $1,250 and ate that themselves. Nope, they made it sound like they were still doing me a favor by offering $700 less than I was expecting. I know I made the right choice by walking away because I have ZERO interest in doing business with a shady company like that. This is a classic example of a business that has ZERO understanding of the customer comes first. That seems ironic that Costco believes this to their core and yet Sheehy Volvo didn’t honor the Costco discount due to Sheehy Volvo’s own shady business practices. To top all of this off, they lowered the price by $1,000 only 5 days after they only offered us $550 off after THEIR screwup. Do business with this POS dealership at your own peril.

No apologies no thanks. However, Salesperson was very helpful and friendly so instead of one star giving 3 stars. Will never lease a Volvo again, however. Avoid Sheehy for Volvo unless you want to waste hours as unwanted repeat customer. Was very very different when it was Bill Kidds Volvo when treated as a valued Volvo purchaser.
