A Remarkable Customer Service Experience
What started as a frustrating setback quickly became one of the most uplifting customer service experiences I’ve ever had. Thank you, Enterprise team!
The evening before, I reserved a rental car through the GEICO app so I could drop my Honda off at Autobody Evolution (conveniently located right next door to this Enterprise branch) for repairs. When I arrived the next morning to pick up my rental, I was told—very politely—that no vehicles were currently available. The first gentleman asked me to please have a seat while he worked to resolve the issue.
At one point, he mentioned that a larger truck could be made available, but it would cost more than my insurance allowance. I explained that I wasn’t comfortable driving such a large vehicle, and with money being tight after recently losing my job, paying extra simply wasn’t possible.
After about 45–50 minutes, my patience was wearing thin. I approached a second young man to ask for an update. To my surprise, he was already holding a clipboard and car key, and before I could even speak, he kindly invited me to follow him to my rental. The manager (the first gentleman, wearing glasses) had worked his magic—there was a freshly washed Toyota Corolla waiting for me.
The second young man walked me through the rental agreement and noted pre-existing damages with professionalism and care. We even shared some uplifting conversation that left me smiling. Although I had originally requested a small SUV, I was more than satisfied with the sedan and left feeling happier than when I arrived. That speaks volumes.
I was so impressed—especially with the second gentleman—that I asked to speak with his supervisor to commend him. That’s when I learned he reported directly to the first gentleman. Both of them had gone above and beyond.
Returning the car was just as seamless. I refilled the tank, pulled in, and within five minutes the manager had inspected the vehicle, confirmed the fuel level, and processed my $50 deposit refund. Before I even left the lot, my CashApp notification chimed with the reimbursement.
As someone with years of customer service experience and a degree in retail merchandising, I know how difficult it is to turn around a negative first impression. Research shows employees have only seven seconds to make that impression, and if it’s negative, it usually sticks. The fact that these two young men not only changed my impression but transformed it into one of the best customer service experiences I’ve ever had is nothing short of remarkable.

I had an amazing experience with Jaylen who went above and beyond to help me. From the moment I walked in, she was professional, friendly, and genuinely interested in making sure I got the best rental possible. She taken the time to understand my needs, reviewed all the options with me, and even found special rates and discounts that I wasn’t aware of saving me money I didn’t expect to keep in my pocket! It wasn’t just about renting a car it felt like I was being taken care of by someone who truly values customer service. The whole process was stress-free. I left feeling like I got more than I paid for, which rarely happens these days. Thank you Jaylen for your kindness, patience, and for looking out for me. I’ll definitely be returning to Enterprise and recommending it to others based on this experience alone!
The car that I rented was fine, however the service when I came to drop off my car was severely lacking. When I came into the shop, there were no workers and so we sat for about 10 minutes and waited for someone to come back in. A woman worker came in and walked by us 2 times without acknowledging us. Another customer then came in and sat down to wait for a worker to come back. When the woman came back in, she busied herself by going into the bathroom and into the staff room before then asking the other customer if he needed help, ignoring us who had been waiting for 15 mins at this point. Through the inspection and mumbled the amount of my return deposit and said goodbye. When I checked my bank deposit and saw I was only getting 50% back, despite bringing the fuel back full and no damage, I called and she at first told me I didn’t fill up the car, which was incorrect. She then told me that it was because I was being charged for the day, despite dropping the car off at 8:15am with their opening time of 8am. I told her that they were not open on the weekend, which is why I couldn’t drop it off on Sunday, to which she said no, that’s what you were supposed to do. After her getting smart and arguing with me, she then said that she would refund the amount of the rental for the day, but clearly that was just to get me off of the phone, because she never provided the return. Her rude attitude, ignoring us, and lying to us about providing a refund really soured our experience. I will not rent from her again and would advise others not to do so either.

My experience with enterprise has been very good I encountered the “Karen” who cleans the vehicle I stated after doing my walk around that the car wasn’t vacuumed she went back and forth about it was clean all while the sales clerk took it back to vacuum it some people but overall I will use them again
