  Mediocre experience. Trip started off on a sour note with the rear-view camera having "no signal." Was excited to see that feature only for it to be non-operational. I ended up calling various Penske phone numbers after the local representative could not offer any assistance. They would have required me to bring the truck up to a Capitol Heights-based service center, costing time (main thing in short supply) and gas money ahead of a cross-country move. What was even more infuriating was that one of the recorded messages bragged about how well maintained the vehicles are. The other issue I encountered that was also a relatively small annoyance was the lack of any windshield wiper fluid when I needed it during the middle of my trip. Probably the most aggravating part of the experience was the promise of a callback to discuss a partial refund for the above issues... never did receive anything. Also, long call hold times for trying to reach the citations department if you have a toll that your transponder didn't catch. Just as an FYI. Supposedly there was only one caller ahead of me, but after about 25 minutes (after continuously not choosing the leave a voicemail and callback option), you get a message saying no one is available, and you are forced to leave a voicemail and disconnect. *thumbs down*

  A few weeks ago Penske truck rental was a great help to us, moving from Utah to Maryland. We originally pre-paid $3,000.00 to a moving company to handle our move. When they arrived the cost was doubled. Long story short, got in an argument with them regarding the cost, they got mad and left. (Still trying to get our $3,000.00 back because they breached our contract, not us. Now what do we do? A close neighbor and friend called Penske to rent a truck to move ourselves. Penske staff were absolutely wonderful, in setting up a truck and dolly to haul our car at the last minute. They only problem we had was Penske was an hour away from our home, but we dud not mind as we wanted to leave the next morning. We have moved a few times, but never with Penske. The 6 day trip was comfortable driving their truck. ANYONE PLANNING A MOVE, LONG OR SHORT DISTANCE, DONT CALL A MOVING COMPANY, CALL PENSKE. Your will not get screwed. From now on, any move we make will be with Penske. Their staff is very sensitive to you moving needs, and will do anything they can to make your move as comfortably as they can.

  Rented me a 26' truck with a severely cupped left front time. Couldn't drive over 45 mph without excessive vibration which I didn't figure out until after it was loaded and began what should have been a 7 hour drive to SC. I included a couple photo's, but the cups were all the way around the outside tread
