Front desk said they had to add their own additive to regular oil to make a "high mileage oil blend". Turns out the additive was for "Exp One Engine Treatment" and NOT NECESSARY for a high mileage oil change. Receipt shows they DID have and used regular high mileage oil and just added this unnecessary additive on top, making it seem like it was essential to make high mileage oil. They didn't show me the itemized charges before I paid (unlike other Jiffy Lube locations). $60 for the oil change and a surprise $50 for the additive. Front desk immediately rejected my coupon without even looking at it. Their reason was that the coupon was not applicable to the location (Beltsville). I pointed to the list of locations that honor the discount. The Beltsville location was printed right there. Got the discount, but it was pretty embarrassing for them.
