- PKPatrick kornJun 18, 20255.0We are new members, and so far, the marina itself has been pretty good. I'll update after we've been there a while. The membership advertised with free stays at all safe harbor locations is a mixed bag. I planned a trip and used their consierge service. I requested 3 marinas about 2 weeks out. One had a little mix-up that they immediately fixed. Another said they could only put us at a slip in their boat yard, a bit of a hike to their marina facilities. This was my first taste of members being 2nd class transients. The third request came back that the marina doesn't give free slips to members but offers a 20% discount - and there was a waiting list for that. So take the sales pitch with a grain of salt. We're still saving over $200 on our trip, so I'd say it's worth it if you use it. Update: Our trip was great staying at SH marinas. The consierge has been attentive and helpful. The marinas were great along the way. We are getting happier and happier at Carroll Island. The manager is great to work with, and the marina had a good vibe. Will update when we use their repair services.
