The pick-up day was Saturday. Unfortunately, I woke up late because my alarm didn’t go off, so I arrived about an hour after my scheduled pick-up time — around 10 a.m. instead of 9 a.m.
When I arrived, the guy told me that only a pickup truck was left. I explained that I had booked my car a long time ago and needed it for my family, so I didn’t understand how my reserved vehicle was no longer available. He didn’t seem very willing to help at first.
I asked him politely if he could check other locations to see if they had the same car available. He just said, “We’re closing at 2 p.m. like the others,” which didn’t help much.
Then I noticed a Dodge Durango SUV on the lot and asked about it. He said, “It’s okay, you can take that one.” I was confused — at first, he told me there were no cars left, and suddenly this one was available. It made me feel like he simply didn’t want to offer an upgrade or make things easier for us.
So, be careful if your pick-up day is on a Saturday — all branches close at 2 p.m., so make sure to arrive early. Also, it seems that if you’re a little late, instead of trying to help, some staff might play around with customers or be uncooperative.
He seemed like a nice person overall, but my feeling was that he really didn’t want to help us.
