    I recently visited BMW of Catonsville, MD. My experience with Steve Yang was outstanding! He was very professional, knowledgeable, and attentive to my needs without any pressure. He went above and beyond to source the exact X3 M50 I wanted and kept me informed throughout the process. I really appreciated their transparency regarding the price as promised, and efficiency in finalizing the deal. If you’re looking for an honest, customer-focused sales/finance team, ask for Steve Yang and Sam Choi! Truly the best car buying experience I’ve ever had!

    During a search one evening, I came across an ad from BMW of Catonville for a BMW X4 that I was informed by another dealership that it would.be considered an "unicorn " type find. Well, BMW of Catonsville proved them wrong. I scheduled a visit to the dealership to visit with intentions of purchasing a new vehicle. All I will say is , what an experience. When I arrived: I was passed off to another dealer representative due to the other rep working with others. I got it , its new year's eve.... its busy and this is the goal. After test driving and series of related questions, I was ready and felt that this was the vehicle that I wanted. So let's get started. I was asked " what do you want to do"... let's start the process. I wanted my car 2006 525i assessed , for possible trade in value , asked about BMW financing, Veteran discount , and BMW loyalty discount. All of my inquiries were from my research online. I read the small print , so based on what I saw and read- this vehicle of interest met the qualification ( so I thought) . Trade in request, zero money down and negotiation price presented by me . What happened next: I was informed that BMW financing that i inquired about was for BMW USA, but other finanical institutions could be processed for a higher finance %. Next, I was informed in order to get into a monthly payment , that was not mentioned by me , it was suggested that I needed to put a $20K down-payment. The price was $49K. Please help me make sense. When I mentioned that credit score was great, income is no questions needed - 28 years general manager , I was told it has nothing to do with those 2 things its about the numbers. ( Hmmmmm..... its about the numbers???. My numbers added up. Was it that my numbers would not get you to your EOY numbers or EOY incentive) So moving forward, as I share.. having good/great credit score and 6 digit salary, means absolutely nothing and more. I will share with family, friend and peers. Note: credit had not been processed at no time during this appt. Summed up: This is the best way to tell this female potential investor that your money not welcomed at this establishment. Is this treatment that is expected as a female shopper without masculine /male figure in tow with you at the dealership. I was the only one that need not have a male partner. $20K down-payment....??? No discount offered- false advertisment online No credit check

    This BMW location is the best! I've been coming here for years to have my car serviced. I absolutely love the service department and the amazing staff running it! A big thank you to my Service Advisor Neil, as well as Grant for helping me in a last minute urgent repair. The team worked swiftly to correct my coolant issues (major leak) and assisted with a last minute rental! I greatly appreciate their understanding, flexibility, and smile... a smile goes a long way. Also, a big thank you to Tory for his assistance as well! This will forever be my location!

He managed every detail, from sourcing the exact spec I wanted to ensuring the vehicle was delivered on time. The paperwork was the smoothest I’ve ever experienced.     Unacceptable and Deceptive Sales Practices My recent experience with this BMW dealership was deeply unpleasant, misleading, and will be one of the most important lessons to me and my dealership buying experience moving forward. I am writing this review to warn other consumers about what I believe are deceptive sales tactics and a failure to comply with Maryland consumer protection law. I was spot-delivered a vehicle without any clear verbal disclosure that the deal was conditional. At no point did the finance manager or salesperson explicitly state that financing was pending or that the transaction was contingent on bank approval. The deal was presented as finalized and routine. Based on those representations, I provided a my down payment, signed paperwork, and drove the vehicle off the lot. Only after a couple of days was I informed that the financing had not been approved yet and that they needed more documentation to move forward, something that also wasn't disclosed to me. They mentioned that this was routine; yet if it was they would let the customer know every step of the way and not after the fact. As a result, I was forced to drive over two hours back to the dealership (out of state) to return the vehicle—time, effort, and expense I would never have incurred had the conditional nature of the transaction been properly disclosed upfront. Because of the dealership’s lack of transparency: • I changed my insurance policy to cover a vehicle I ultimately never owned eating the cost of the auto-insurance change. • I incurred fuel costs and lost time traveling back and forth. • I returned the vehicle in the same condition in which it was delivered. • My trade-in vehicle was returned missing a steering wheel cover. Most concerning is the handling of my down payment refund. Maryland law is clear that a down payment must be returned immediately upon return of the vehicle in an unwind situation. While $3,000 of my down payment was refunded, $2,000 remains outstanding. They promised to mail a check for the remaining partial balance the next business day and provide tracking yet this never happened out of their own initiative. The finance manager’s only response to follow-up has been “working on it,” which is unacceptable given the legal obligation and the time that has already passed. This entire experience felt engineered to capitalize on customer excitement and eagerness to meet quotas. The sales staff created the impression that everything was complete, omitted critical verbal disclosures, and allowed me to leave the dealership under false assumptions. Had I known—even once—that the deal was conditional and still pending lender approval, I would not have signed anything or taken delivery of the vehicle. Bottom line: this dealership’s behavior reflects deceitful, non-transparent sales practices, poor post-sale accountability, and a troubling disregard for consumer protections. I am still waiting for my full down payment to be returned, and I would strongly caution any prospective buyer to get every single detail in writing and assume nothing—because this dealership clearly will not volunteer the truth.
