- LMLaura MullenFeb 17, 20265.0I entered the store grabbed a jug of anti freeze and walked up to the register where a sales associate was.. she smiled and said someone will be right with you and walked towards the door. Thats when I noticed she had her coat and purse as she was leaving. I said to her, thank you for being attentive.. you are leaving for the day and the few seconds it took to talk to me means a lot. She smiled and says thank you.. I told her I know what’s it like at the end of the day you want to leave… her name is Lachon and she presented herself as a good ambassador for Advance Auto Parts. The other sales associate, who is Maurice, thanked me for waiting as he was helping someone else. He processed the sale quickly and asked if I found everything ok. Both Lachon and Maurice were pleasant at the end of the day.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle.
