Went to trade a battery in & to purchase a new one. We had an extra battery at the house to turn in for the $10 gift card they claim on their website they give back for every battery brought in with no limits. Needless to say, when I called him out on it, he couldn't give a reason why he refused this service. His exact response was for us to go to AutoZone to do it. I worked for Advance, and never refused my customers this service the company offers, let alone send them to a competitor. So, i just called my old District Manager, he was pretty appalled i was denied this service as well. He told me to write this review and see what kind of excuse they would reply with, probably the *insert name here* standard automated response, or if at all. Please tell me why this location does not follow corporate policy? After reading the reviews on this specific location, they dont look great at all. Edit (same day): after being sold a wrong battery, we went back to the store for a return. The man with the salt & pepper beard looked at my boyfriend and said yes, return it. He walked out and wasn't seen during rest of interaction. When the return was being processed, my boyfriend asked why there was a 50 cent difference. He couldn't answer the question & was then suddenly told he couldn't do a return on a battery because of their electronic policy. When asked his name, and since he was out of uniform without a name tag, he said "Christian". This is the BIGGEST lie I ever heard, again ... I worked for Advanced Auto and knew these employees were the worst of the worst I have EVER seen. I took my boyfriend to another Advance Auto on Merritt Blvd & and told the manager on duty what was going on with the other store. I did introduce myself, told him what store i had worked at, who my regional, district, and general manager was at my time of employment with this company. He verified we could bring in excess batteries for a 10 dollar in store credit. He also did an exchange and even though our core battery was at the other store, he honored everything and we paid the difference in the price of the new battery. Ironically the guys name at the Merritt Blvd store was Christian too. Please retrain these employees at the North Point Blvd location or have better supervision. We are done with this store forever, and will be taking our business to the Merritt Blvd location. Thank you for wasting 3 hours of our day. This will be escalated to corporate. No customer should have to deal with poor service, let alone denied a return for a wrong part that was given to them.

Came to this location on 6/11/25 , manager was going over a schedule with staff front desk. No one never acknowledged me, stood there for a few minutes and then the employee eventually said how can I help you. No good morning, no eye contact.. Very cold staff here, not customer friendly . I'm just over these places that need more customer service training.
