Excellent service, Mike was very nice! I recommend this place. They didn't try to sell me a new tire like the guys at Mr. L. did (the issue was totally fixable, whereas the other place said it couldn't be repaired and that I needed a new tire).Thank you for your honesty, Fountain Tire.

Walked in to make an appointment. I should have cancelled the appointment the second I witnessed a lady return her car to say they fixed the wrong tire. They tried to tell her it was right and then quickly realized it was wrong and asked her to pull up again to fix the correct tire. (But based off reviews I thought it was a one off). Started in the Summer: Had to go back 3 times for my breaks & more. I have had nothing but problems. My breaks were loudly screeching after replacing them and they just patronized me saying “that’s normal”. No, it’s not normal, many weeks & 1000’s of km later. My neighbours actually complained I was waking them up daily. The 3rd visit, another guy then admitted yes that’s not right bring it in again. I also had alignment problems veering off to the right now, (never had an issue before they added that service). After telling me they must have needed to calibrate the system, the last visit it was finally fixed. (1 star) The OG visit I also bought tires and had my oil changed. They didn’t put the cap on properly and oil spilled everywhere and I only noticed days later when I realized the burning oil smell was coming from under my hood. I was so stressed, frustrated & defeated by this experience to go back. I could not afford to again pay for taxis to and from home and work every time I had to bring it back. Then Winter arrives… they still squeal and my 4/5 month old MPI winter approved tires are worse than my OG warn out tires were. I’m sliding everywhere and have always had good control on the roads prior. *You need not reply to this review as nothing will convince me to return. I’m happy that others were privileged to such a great experience, as no one deserves the stress this caused.
Tires wear out over time, and how long they last depends on things like road conditions, driving habits, inflation, and temperature. The best way to know when to replace them is to check them regularly.
Common ways to measure tread include the following.
- Tread wear bars: When these are flush with the tread, it’s time to replace.
- Coin test: If too much of the coin shows, your tread is low.
- Tread depth gauge: The most accurate way to measure.
If your tread is low or you see cracks, bulges, or notice vibration, come see us.
What are some signs my vehicle is out of alignment?
It doesn’t take much to throw your alignment off—potholes, curbs, or just everyday driving. Poor alignment can lead to faster tire wear and poor handling.
Common signs include:
- Vehicle pulls to one side
- Crooked steering wheel
- Uneven tire wear
- Loose or unstable steering
- Vibration in the steering wheel
If something feels off, we’re happy to take a look.
What’s included in the seasonal car care package?
Our seasonal car care package gets your vehicle ready for the weather ahead. It includes:
- Fresh engine oil and filter
- Chassis lubrication (as needed)
- Charging and starting system check
- Brake inspection
- Fluid top-ups
- Belt and hose inspection
- Battery test
- Tire and pressure check
- Heating/cooling system check
- Lights, wipers, and overall safety check
It’s a great way to make sure your vehicle is ready for the season.
What do the numbers on my tires mean?
The numbers on your tire’s sidewall tell you the size, load rating, and speed rating.
Example: 225/55R17 97H
- 225 – Tire width (mm)
- 55 – Height as a % of width
- R – Radial construction
- 17 – Wheel diameter (inches)
- 97 – Load rating (how much weight it can carry)
- H – Speed rating (maximum safe speed)
These numbers help us match you with the right tire.
When should I put my winter tires on?
A good rule of thumb: when you can see your breath — about 7°C and below. At that temperature, all-season tires start to harden, while winter tires stay flexible and grippy. Booking early helps you beat the rush.
