  Nice and easy to get a car when needed but they didn’t wait for mpi to approve my claim at all and took $800 hold, now 10+ business after “returning” it with an authorization number I’m having to dispute it with Visa Rbc. Time wasting

  I rented here only because my vehicle was in the shop for repairs under an Autopac claim. At the end of the rental, I was charged $402.86 for 30 days of protection. When I complained, I was told it was a daily charge and there was no monthly option. For a long-term rental, that is an unreasonable amount to charge for protection. What is most disappointing is that there was no real effort to help me understand whether my existing coverage could help reduce those costs. MPI’s Loss of Use information says customers may have additional coverage options when their vehicle is accidentally damaged and should speak with their Autopac agent. Be careful here. If you are renting because your own vehicle is under repair, do not assume their protection is your only option. Ask questions, get the total in writing, and check your own coverage before agreeing to anything.
