- SSSam SNov 2, 20251.0My rental experience was severely compromised from the outset. When I picked up the initial rental vehicle , it had such an intense and nauseating chemical odor that I was unable to drive it without almost vomiting. Upon informing Mr. Parth, the manager, I was instructed to drive the vehicle to your Waverley location to exchange it. That drive itself was extremely uncomfortable and unsafe due to the overwhelming fumes. At the Waverley branch, I was informed by staff that the first vehicle had recently been “smoke bombed” for cleaning, but the employees had negligently failed to ventilate the car, causing the chemical gases to remain trapped inside. This incident demonstrates a clear lapse in safety and duty of care on the company’s part. Despite these unacceptable circumstances and the distress caused, Enterprise Rent-A-Car has proceeded to deduct the full $750 deductible for damage that was not caused by me and was due to a hit and run. This action is unreasonable, unjust, and contrary to the principles of fairness and due diligence expected from a reputed company.
