- EEElizabethSep 6, 20221.0Brought my husbands vehicle here for an MPI claim and they scammed and raked us through the coils. They replaced parts that were NOT needed, and charged a 'betterment' charge. They did not wait for approval through MPI before replacing parts, or provide proper details to MPI for my husband and I to decide if we wanted to continue with the claim or if it would be better to buy back and replace the parts ourselves. Husband is a mechanic and was sourcing his own parts, and they OVER charged for parts we could have obtained for 25% less, brand new! They went ahead without approval and ended up charging us just under $1k for minor repairs from a miniscule accident (hit the ditch) like what was the point of insurance for us to pay an exuberant amount to repair something a toddler could fix? they said the previous shop manager who was responsible for the mess was fired, but still did NOTHING to rectify the situation. Both this location and the one in winnipeg are responsible for this! Thanks Boyd for taking much needed money and necessities away from a young family. Hope profits are worth it! We will be sure to spread the word to NEVER go near your shop. You ARE the reason mechanics get a bad rep! scammers to the max!!!
