I wish this George guy I see in the reviews were there because whoever helped me was unprepared and chose to not help me with my battery installation. I kept the battery to avoid another headache returning it. Ended up paying another business to install the battery. Needless to say I won't be doing business with AAP anymore and I definitely won't recommend this location.

He tested the battery and suggested that I drive around some more and that he would recheck to make sure before committing to a new battery. We did end up needing a new battery after the retest and George discussed the battery options and installed with no issues while being polite and friendly the entire time. Great job George!

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
