- JMJeremy MalaveAug 9, 20251.0So my wife ordered brakes for her car by drop down the make model n year ordered the parts went to pick them up and the gentleman that picked the parts looks at them and says he checking the computer to make sure we have the stuff she picked, this is important because this is the moment he realized by looking at them the back shoes are for disk brakes not rotor like we have so he realizes she has the wrong ones double checked it in the computer to make sure it what she ordered!! Instead of telling her this are the wrong shoes he makes sure it’s what she ordered that’s the service you get her at Westfield!! Not only this but I call the store politely and someone answered mumbling something so politely I asked is this advanced auto he says how may I help you so I just wanted to make sure so I ask again politely he says again how may I help you so at this point I say can I speak to your manager he says speaking so I know at this point no use explaining this to him so I ask for his name after a few minutes he says Mike so I’m like Mike do u have a last name he says what do you want how may I help y I’m like at this point I just your last name please Vega .. in the process of getting District manager’s number

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
