I do not know where to begin. The sales experience began well, I found a Thor Motor Coach that was finally within my budget, 5 years old, very low milage, priced I feel appropriately. I will say I am not an RV expert however I grew up around them and camped a throughout my life. I decided to purchase through a larger chain with my thought I could have confidence in purchasing a preowned product that is in good condition. I am baffled at the service I received. The service department is inept, and not organized.
Our salesman Steve (my mother started the processed as we purchased together) was good up until the moment we placed a deposit down ($8000 to boot), once that was completed, he disappeared and we never heard from him again. Even at delivery he was nowhere to be found. We were handed the keys from the service department and left without even a congratulations!
During the walkthrough before signing the paperwork the tech knew nothing about how anything worked. We barely tested any of the features because the tech had no idea how to use them which is scary. I guessed on how to use most of the features once I took delivery and brought the coach home.
We learned that boarding lights needed replacing and a motor for the stabilizers needed replacing, service placed the order for parts. When I took delivery, I found the driver's side mirror had a crack, I returned to the dealership within 10 mins of seeing this and they would not honor replacing it. Way more was wrong once I got the coach home.
1. Sensor was missing in the fridge, items froze.
2. Defrost/heat/ac in the cabin of the coach does not work, I am currently having a chevy dealer fix this (it's a chevy engine) and they can go through the warranty.
3. Main door does not close correctly consistently.
4. Shower leaks, I had to recalk it.
5. Toilet needed sealing as it did not hold water.
6. Oven cover is broken and had to be replaced.
The coach only had 14,000 miles, they replaced the tires which was very much appreciated however when they changed the oil they overfilled it, when I pulled into my drive way overflow oil leaked all over my freshly resealed driveway (first incline it was parked at). Coach drives nice, I do not regret my purchase however these items should of been addressed when they took this unit before placing it on sale. For most of these items I had them address they billed my warranty and charged me a deductible! (only $50 but that is not the point) Then it took 3 weeks for them to do these requests.
The coach was filthy when I received it. It took a whole day to clean the interior, I had to deck scrub the floors! The exterior was no better. Between the debris in the compartments, and the mice nests I found in the generator (still works thankfully), to me all they did was a quick wash of the exterior and apply tire shine to the tires. They actually put a notice on the window saying the coach was cleaned, if this coach was clean in their opinion than I have serious concerns over what these techs houses look like and what they consider is clean.
The finance manager (male, I apologize I forgot his name) was excellent. As a positive. He took his time explaining all the optional add on available for purchase. I appreciate all the time he took as this was still a pretty big financial decision.
For a $60,000 preowned coach I would of expected a better delivered product. I will not return here.
I did submit a poor survey, did not hear back.
Camping World of Uxbridge so far has been more helpful with Warranty information. They referred me to a dealer for the heating issue of the cabin. The service department at West Boyleston was not as helpful, having to call multiple times a week to get a status update on my unit was very frustrating and extremely poor service because they never called me back or updated me.
