This Review is in regards to the 1 Star review from Evando Ananias. I’m sorry to hear you had a bad experience with Intoxalock, but I would like clarify some things. The first thing I would like clarify is that you have never been to SoReal Sounds for any service so this review should be posted towards Intoxalock directly or the service center you actually dealt with. Second thing is that an Intoxalock system will not damage your vehicle if it is installed properly. If something from the Intoxalock system damaged your vehicle, then that was because the service center you went with messed up somewhere. We provided excellent customer service and any of our Intoxalock clients or non Intoxalock clients will gladly testify to that. Third, I understand it can be difficult to get reimbursement from Intoxalock , but that is because you have to remember that Intoxalock is not physically working on your vehicle. Intoxalock goes by the information given to them between the client and the service center. Intoxalock needs proof that any issues you endured were actually caused by their system. Electronics can fail, as nothing is bullet proof, the few times I have seen the Intoxalock equipment fail there was no damage to the vehicle, as again a properly installed system will not damage your vehicle, and Intoxalock did reimburse the clients any financial responsibilities the client had to endure due to any system failure. If Intoxalock is provided with proper information to any fault due to their system, they will reimburse the client, I can attest for that. I understand your frustrations, but your review is not relevant to our business SoReal Sounds as we have never done any service for you.

The worse company ever. DO NOT INSTALL ANY OF THEIR PRODUCT IN YOUR CAR, they damaged my car, refused to pay for it. I had installed it in my car for one month and I had to tow my car more than 6 times in that period. Worse customer service. I had to fight with them for everything. THE WORSE EVER. DON'T DO IT!!!!! I WOULD GIVE 0 STAR.

Frequently Asked Questions About Intoxalock Ignition Interlock

How does an interlock device work?

An ignition interlock device (IID) is a small breathalyzer installed in your vehicle to prevent it from starting if alcohol is detected on your breath. Before driving, you'll blow into the device. If your breath alcohol concentration (BrAC) is below the programmed limit, the car starts. Periodic retests occur during your trip to ensure continued compliance. What is the cost of an ignition interlock device?

The installation of an ignition interlock device, often called a car breathalyzer, typically costs between $70 and $150. This one-time fee is paid at the start of your lease and covers the service center's labor to install the device in your vehicle. Payment is made directly to the service center at the time of installation. For more on cost breakdowns, you can read our cost of ignition interlock device guide.
