  I’d do 6 stars if I could, Scott, Jake were chill dudes, super helpful and informative about my car and everything going on, then Levi walks up I didn’t know he was a manager because he was sitting on the stairs in a hoodie, I went in for an oil change and levi starts talking to me and offered me an alignment for free, I was confused at first because I didn’t think my car needed one, good thing it was free because the guy looked confused and said it was in “green” which I guess is good, 5 stars if you want an alignment ask for levy

  Went for some service on my tires after a rough night out, luckily Melvin’s tire and auto repair had my back. I’ve had car troubles in the past and other businesses in the area couldn’t satisfy me. I adore this business, respectful and hard working employees. I’ll be sure to come back if my car upsets me again.

  Came to get my wheel & tire put on and they told me the wheel wasn’t good to be on the road so I had to go and exchange it for a better one before they could do anything which was not a problem at all, I’d rather be safe then sorry. Furthermore, these guys were so nice and helpful and put my wheel and tire on once I got a better one! Customer service was great here, thank you!

  Booked a reservation for two new rear tires. An hour later, they said it was done. I paid and left. A week later, my RI state inspection at a different garage failed — two bad tires. The same two I'd just paid Melvin's to replace. I had the inspection shop swap them and, on a hunch, asked them to toss the old ones in my trunk. I called Melvin's. The manager was unapologetic, defensive, and oddly suspicious — as if a customer returning with defective tires was the real red flag. He told me to come in with the tires as proof, which I did. The follow-up visit wasn't much better. He barely acknowledged me, typed at his computer for ten minutes in total silence, and at one point picked up the phone to apparently call corporate — punctuating the quiet with periodic "hello?"s that never connected. He seemed less interested in making things right than in finding a hole in my story. Eventually, without a word of explanation, he turned the card machine toward me and processed the refund. A half-apology followed. I asked if he'd at least dispose of the tires that had been fermenting in my trunk. "Yeah, sure." On my way out I said I just didn't understand how this happened. "I'll have a talk with my guys," he said. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt that this was incompetence rather than dishonesty — but two-tire swaps are about as basic as it gets. When I glanced through the window during my wait, my car was up on the lift while the entire staff stood huddled around a different vehicle in deep discussion. The fact that the manager couldn't get through to corporate probably shouldn't have surprised me. Disorganization tends to start at the top.

  I recently had the pleasure of having my car serviced at Melvin’s, and it was an incredibly positive experience from start to finish. The entire team went above and beyond to make my car service stress-free and affordable. My experience was shaped largely by the Assistant Manager, Jake, and the Manager, Scott. Jake is exactly the kind of professional any corporation would be lucky to have. It wasn’t just his impressive knowledge or professionalism that stood out, but his genuine care, positive energy, and evident joy in helping people. I watched him treat every customer with the same high level of respect and sincerity. He even went out of his way to beat a previous service quote, and his calm demeanor immediately put my mind at ease. Scott was equally impressive, ensuring I received the best possible pricing on parts and maintaining a high standard of professionalism across the board. His entire team followed his example as they spoke to each customer with respect and care. In an industry where it’s easy to feel taken advantage of by "shady" promises or overpricing, Melvin’s is the exact opposite. They are an exemplary establishment defined by honest, transparent, and empathetic leadership. It’s rare to find an auto shop that prioritizes integrity over profit, but Melvin’s is the gold standard. This is the first time I have ever felt compelled to leave a review for a business, but it is the least I can do for such amazing people. As long as Jake and Scott are there, I will be returning for all of my automotive needs. If you want a respectful, knowledgeable, and honest experience, go to Melvin’s.
