  I didn’t have a good experience with Randy’s automotive. I originally brought my Tundra in for an oil change and an inspection sticker. Dropped the truck off at 9am and when I called to check in at 3pm, they informed me all they could do was the oil change and I’d have to come back the following day for an inspection because their system was down. Not a big deal, but they also gave me an estimate for over $8,000 worth of suggested repairs when all I came in for was an oil change and a sticker. Made me feel like they spent more time trying to sell me stuff than actually working on my vehicle. The cherry on top? They gave me a bad oil change! The following day, my check engine light came on. It was not on before I got my oil changed by them! I took the truck back in for them to look at it. I received an estimate from them informing me there was 3 engine codes and they wanted $285 to diagnose it. I put the 3 codes in Google, and the first thing that comes up says I most likely got a bad oil change service. It stated it was most likely an improperly installed oil filter that had collapsed. When I called and voiced my concerns regarding the recent oil change, I was told it would still be a good idea to run the diagnostics. When I pressed further about my concern regarding the oil filter and asked if they would look at that as part of the diagnostics, I was told that would not be included and I would have to approve another oil change. Frustrated, I authorized the oil change as I felt that was the issue and should be checked first prior to paying almost $300 for diagnostics. Sure enough, when I called to check in they informed me that when they checked the filter it was indeed crushed and was the source of the engine codes. They tried to tell me it wasn’t their fault because there was a missing piece from my oil filter housing. They told me they looked at a diagram for the second oil change and that’s when they identified the missing piece in my oil filter housing. Why wasn’t this diagram consulted the first time? In the end, I was forced to pay for a second oil change to rectify the first oil change that was done incorrectly. No point of this process brought me confidence that my vehicle was receiving good care. I originally came in for an oil change and an inspection sticker which I was expecting to take a few hours. In reality, I had to come 3 separate times on different days and the truck spent many hours sitting at their shop. I was charged for 2 oil changes, which I found pretty ridiculous. If they can’t do an oil change correctly, I definitely wouldn’t trust them doing any more involved work. Save your time/money and go somewhere else.
