When I walked in, an employee with long curly hair, sitting at a register, informed me the next employee can help me. I remember thinking he could have helped me too but chose not to. I returned Saturday to return the thermostat, still in the box, turns out the system needed a burp not a thermostat. The same long haired employee was able to assist me this time. I informed him of the return and he immediately opened the unopened box and told me he couldn't do the return as the names on the parts didn't match. I reminded him this box was purchased the day before as is. He ran out to the parking lot to ask his manager...he came back to say the manager left...so I have to come back to prove the piece in the box is the one they sold me...ridiculous...well...that will be the last trip there.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
