  I have never left a online review before, but my experience was so poor I feel the need to warn others. This was one of the worst experiences I have ever had with a moving truck company and I have had multiple moves. I was pressured into changing my pick up location (after already driving most of the way there) when a sales associate called 30 minutes before pick up (the location was 45 minutes from Boston). I than went to the second location (a 25 minute extra drive) to find out there was no truck available and wouldn’t be until 9/2. I then waited an hour for someone to find a truck in a corporate location in New Bedford that was closed except some mechanics that gave me the truck with no instructions, I just received the keys. Compounding this 3 hour delay was the fact I received a 16ft truck instead of a 12ft truck that I reserved a month in advance. Suffice to say I did not feel comfortable driving a 16ft truck in Brighton MA on the most hectic moving day of the year and only used the truck to leave my apartment and then got a second smaller rental days latter.

  Penske's horribly inaccurate website told me there was availability at this location for a moving truck from 8/31 to 9/2. I reserved the truck for these hours. A couple days before I was going to pick up the truck, I was called by a rep and told that they don't have a truck for me. I had a hard moveout date on 8/31. This forced to rent a van from another company last minute and make multiple trips to put my possessions in storage because I was not able to procure a truck for multiple days. This easily tripled the amount of time I had to invest in my move. The customer service rep was very apologetic, and I felt bad that he was forced to work in such a dysfunctional system. Penske - get better website engineers and inventory tracking. I will never attempt to use your company again and I will actively advise everyone I know to do the same. Ryan

  Worst experience with horrible trucks for rental. I booked 12ft truck and got 16ft which was not good at all. I booked hand truck, but they said they do not have which made my shift even tougher due to large items i had. I drove 66 miles which should have took just 2-3 galoon of gas (around $8 - $10) as per truck mileage(33 mgh), but i filled around $23 of gas which was not acceptable in any case. Note: The truck showed full tank but i dont it really was. I spoke to the customer representative, they said they can't reimburse my money and ask me to contact some other team. I will make sure i won't rent a truck in Penske unless my extra money is refunded.
