  had an awful experience with ALAMO/ENTERPRISE rentals in Hyannis/Barnstable at the airport location on 12/9. I reserved a luxery car awhile ago and I was quite disappointed when I arrived at my 2:30pm pickup time and I was told that they no longer had any available. The man at the counter said that he was willing to “upgrade” me to a Nissan. When I pointed out that a Nissan is not a upgrade since I had booked a Audi or a bmw he snapped that since I booked through a budget site ie:Costco vacations it was a upgrade since it would normally cost more than what I was paying. I reluctantly agreed and did not want to cause an issue. As another couple was waiting behind me and I needed to go pick up my daughter. The agent then told me that I could only pay with a credit card which I was not prepared for and I had to try a couple different cards and then make a instant transfer on my app which takes all of three minutes. Probably less. As I went to hand the Alamo agent my card he was putting his jacket on and ignored my extended hand and said “I’ll be right back I’m going to our other location to get a car for my 5 o clock appointment” I told him I was ready to pay and he yelled back “I CANT HEAR YOU” and continued to walk out the door. I was quite frankly shocked by the rudeness of this man. The blatant lack of empathy and respect was astounding. This was the rudest I have ever been treated at any place. While waiting for the rental agent to return for probably at least 30 minutes a line of about 4 people formed with some other people calling the posted phone number. And multiple people saying that the Alamo agent was the rudest person they had ever met and they refused to use the key drop box because they didn’t know if I that person would somehow charge them. When the agent finally did return he kept having “computer issues” it was a horrible experience I asked if I could talk to a manager and he said he would give the car to someone else and it was the last car apparently. So in a panic I agreed and signed the rental agreement. This man was extremely rude and a bully. I didn’t drive the car to much but as soon as we got on the road to the airport all the lights started blinking and saying that there was something wrong and then the light that came on once I pulled the car over and turned it off and restarted it was for a oil change. It seems like Alamo gave me an unreliable car with issues and treated me extremely bad. I was so upset and frustrated that I had to let others know about the way Alamo treats their customers don’t rent cars from here.

  The agents that I spoke on the phone and the ones that I spoke in person when I went to pick up and drop off the car keys was very friendly. They were ready to answer all my questions. During my rental period I had to do a few exchanges in my rent, and I didn't have any problem with that. Plus the car they gave to me was extremely clean, and smelling very good! If I needed to rent a car again definitely I'll choose Alamo. Of course I will recommend Alamo rent car to my friends.
