- MWMike WOct 16, 20252.0I stopped by about two hours before closing. The store wasn’t too busy, and the staff in the Guns & Ammo section were great, friendly, knowledgeable, and easy to talk to. When I went up front to the customer service desk, I asked if I could bring in my unloaded, secured handgun to try out some holsters. I was surprised by the reaction. The staff at the desk looked at me like I’d asked something out of line and immediately said no, never, without much explanation. Moreover I got a look from the older gentleman like I was the problem and, my question is absurd. As someone with over 20 years of experience handling firearms in the Army, I take safety very seriously. I’ve been to plenty of other stores where this is a normal and safe process, you check the unloaded firearm at the front, and it stays with you the whole time while fitting holsters. Maybe this store just has its own stricter policy, which is fine, but it would help if the staff explained that clearly instead of making customers feel like they did something wrong for asking a reasonable question. A little professionalism and better communication go a long way. Guess I’ll stick to the smaller friendlier firearms shops or just order online from some other company.

Well worth the wait. Stanley in the optics dept was a godsend. Extremely knowledgeable and patient, he helped guide us to the solution that fit our needs perfectly. There is one word that explains why bricks & mortar retail is so important. That word is Value.
