Had my car for 2 weeks to do what they are calling a critical update! No communication. Had to call to get information when I was told they would call me. Hyundai has become such a scam with all of their recalls. I asked why I never received such recall and was told that I out to bring my car to them for service instead of looking for a better deal!
Never buying a Hyundai again!
Advertised price not the actual price!!! And not just the usual stuff.
Expect to pay $3000 - $5000 more than advertised. The prices they advertise assume a $3000 down payment. So if you see a car advertised for $20000 the actual price is $23000. How is this legal? Then they hit you with $2000 "Prep Fee". Pretty sure they just made that one up.
Wouldn't recommend wasting your time. All I wanted was to buy the car advertised, for the price advertised, plus tax and registration fees. Simple. Wasn't looking to negotiate them down. Just straight forward pay what the car was listed for plus reasonable associated costs like tax and DMV fees. Apparently this was too hard for them.
If this is how they handle sales imagine how honest they are if something goes wrong.

Sales -
Tay made the entire car buying experience smooth and stress free on the sales side. From the start, he actually listened to what I wanted, respected my budget, and never tried to push me into something I wasn’t comfortable with. He was patient, straightforward, and easy to work with, which made a huge difference.
What stood out most was how genuine he was, no pressure, no games, just honest communication and real help. He made sure I understood everything and stayed focused on getting me into the right car for my situation.
My experience with Tay in sales was excellent and exactly how buying a car should feel. If you’re going to this dealership, ask for Tay. He’s exactly the kind of salesperson you hope to deal with.

Extremely disappointed in the lack of professionalism at this dealership shocked actually. I went to Empire Hyundai because they had a white vehicle. That is the color. My daughter wanted and we were not taking very seriously from this very start. We were asked for a credit card or a license to even get a quote on the vehicle, which has never happened in all my years of test driving and looking at vehicles. The dealership close to our house did not have a white vehicle and we almost walked at that point, but we stuck it out. They had the vehicle we went with it signed the paperwork. We had a trade-in made the Deal left a deposit or promised the vehicle The next day, then received a phone call, saying it would not be available until Monday and this was a Friday and we specifically told them we would not sign the paperwork unless it was available on Saturday as we could not pick it up on a Monday. We were told it would be personally dug out of the snow on Saturday and would be available so we went ahead and signed the paperwork then get a call the next day saying it wouldn’t be available not acceptable told them we didn’t want the car anymore. They dug it out. We came back paid the rest of our deposit and we were told we were missing money and I told them that’s our trade-in value. That’s the difference and we were told no you signed a Paper and you still owe the money. It turns out Kirme snuck in a paper that gifted our vehicle are trade-in vehicle to them very very sneaky. We would never give away a vehicle at a zero dollar amount unbelievable so we asked to speak to a manager who never even explained that that is the paper we signed and he said there was a misunderstanding, and we were all set wouldn’t even sign our paperwork saying that the difference was accounted for. We were told we would get our registration in one week and I said we were not able to drive back to Fall River nor did we want to ever come back to Fall River and the registration needed to be mailed to our house as we live 30 to 40 minutes away and work outside of their business hours and we were assured by four separate people that the registration could be mailed. We waited over two weeks called and we’re told that they had up to 30 days to register our car after we were told it would be done in one week. Then my daughter receives a text from Kirme message saying her registration was ready for pick up. I wish we had never ever walked into that dealership. I don’t trust that they take their customers seriously nor do they care about their reputation it’s very disappointing discouraging everybody is just a target when they walk in there.

Study Google reviews. Car dealerships, especially, love to leave fake 5 star reviews for themselves. It's so easy to spot, with 1 or very low review count fakes. And every 5 star review is worded so similarly. It's hysterical to see so many fakes again and again.
HOWEVER, I'm here for a purpose. A review admittedly 7 years old. I found some old emails and my blood boiled just enough, I needed to leave this.
A friend of mine wanted a small crossover SUV. I had been helping her look for awhile. Saw a used 2018 Kona with less than 5,000 miles for a good amount lower than new. Contacted the dealer on a Sunday. Yep, they have it still. I'll be down in an hour. And, wouldn't you know it, it was sold before I got there. Certainly, that's possible. But I was cautious. My friend was on her way down. Since I was there, let me talk numbers on a new one. It was December 2nd. Deals were to be had. Tony wrote down a number on a blank piece of paper. My antenna was up even more. But he was nice, so I let him do his thing. My friend gets there and we look and talk. She wants a Kona. She came with a friend of hers who will co-sign. Numbers are discussed and they are higher than I'd like for her. But she's fine with a higher payment. It's her decision. But going over the numbers with the finance manager, I notice the number agreed upon(on that blank sheet of paper) isnt the number used on the finance sheet.
I'm telling her we need to cut bait and walk out. But they want to go through with it. They also try to sell her on all the dealer add ons. I'm insistent that we decline most. This I will not allow. Instead of a lightly used vehicle for under $20G, she's buying a $24G new one and being pushed with add ons to make it over $27G. I do my best to knock that down, we come to an agreement and we walk out. She's supposed to pick it up on Monday.
Well, wouldn't you know it, financing didn't work out. They tell her she needs to pay more up front or redo financing. She calls me to tell me what's going on. I tell her to walk away. We'll find something better. I had another dealer I was referred to by a friend who works with their Toyota affiliate ready to give us a great deal on a demo.
But Empire tired her out. She paid OVER $27G for a car with a $23G sticker and her financing was high as well. All the stuff I got her to decline on the first deal, she got pushed on and accepted without me there. Again, makes my blood boil thinking about them.
Slimy, slimy, slimy. My biggest regret as a car guy who likes to help out others was even letting her step foot in this place. One day I was visiting her at her place, a year later. I removed her Empire plate frames and crushed them. The only good deals made will be for themselves. You will always be taken advantage of here. They will prey on the uninformed.
