  Very helpful staff, but very disappointed in the new gas policy. We filled the tank about 3 miles from the airport and they were going to charge us for 1/2 gallons of gas. This was based on an electronic connection between National’s system and the actual gas tank sending unit. The fuel gage on the car indicated a full tank. This is pure greed and nothing else.

  National Car Rental is not the same as it used to be. The car selection is extremely poor, unless you like the 'soccer mom going grocery shopping' experience. National is good for having lots of mini vans and SUV's. Gone are the days of Chargers, Camaros, nice pick up trucks etc.

  This BOS National rental facility is consistently top-notch in customer service! Tamira aka “T” is Incredible and a huge asset to the team. I’ve been coming here for years and seeing her welcoming smile and experiencing her can do attitude always sets the tone for the trip.

  I use them every week. The car selection has changed a lot. Lots of lower grade “Mini SUV’s” what happened to the Chargers, Challengers, 300’s ?? Also, last 2 rentals had worn out or completely bent windshield wiper. Messed up my view after trying to use them. Also… ask them to CLEAN the inside of the windshields before you leave. They seem to be very dirty 85% of the time… as soon as the sun hits it, you can’t see… very hazardous . I still love them for the convenience of picking your car.

  Extremely dissatisfied following my return of the rental vehicle at Boston's Logan International Airport. Previously, any time I have rented a car with National anywhere I have needed, they have requested and required my son's driver's license whether we had any intentions of him driving at any point during any rental time. He is under 25 and we have never asked him to drive in an area we visited since he got his driver's license. It was brought to my attention during the return proceess there was a daily charge of $25 for him being under 25 and having his license notated on the rental agreement when I picked up the vehicle. Normally, National has told us that any family member is allowed to drive the rental whether we provided a driver's license during pickup procedure or not. Since previously being hassled when they looked at the people in the vehicle and pushed a little too hard to get his license a few years ago, my son passed his license to me and I gave it to the person completing the pick up paperwork. Fortunately, it was only an additional $100 since we had the vehicle for only 4 days, plus during the return process the employee doing the return paperwork agreed to waive this charge for this one time as a courtesy since he never drove the vehicle.
