  When we showed up to pick up our rental car slightly after our scheduled time, there were no cars to be had. Alamo directed us to stand in line behind 3-4 other people to wait for a car, and 10 minutes later we found out it was the wrong line and we should be in a different line, at which point 8 people ahead of us had received their cars. Weather conditions on the East Coast had delayed many flights, and Alamo said it meant people were keeping their cars later than scheduled and leading to a car shortage. In winter in Boston, they should not be scheduling car turnarounds so tightly that it makes a mess out of their rentals if there's a snowstorm, and if it does happen they should do a much better job of managing the waits.

  I recently rented a car from this service and had a mixed experience. The price was super competitive and they had a great selection of cars, which was a big plus. However, the process was a bit of a hassle - the line wasn’t long yet it took a while to get taken care of. That being said, the car was clean and in good condition, and I'd say it was worth it in the end. Maybe they were just short-staffed since it was a holiday weekend?

  Alamo's BOS team was top notch during this rental experience. From the warm welcome at their car rental desk to sort out our car, instructions about the rental, vehicle pick up and return. Much improved experience than s few years back. I had an issue with the car (nothing to do with Alamo) to which I addressed an email. The Alamo team replied swiftly and offer to exchange the vehicle. They followed up twice. Thanks again Dania and Patrick! Happy new years to you all.

  Jeep vehicle was in great shape, ran well in the snow in Vermont and on the interstate highways. Pickup at rental office was quick and it was the vehicle I had requested- no “or similar” substitution. Drop off was smooth a the attendant kindly advised us which shuttle bus number to use to get to the Delta terminal at Logan/Boston airport. Lee up the good work. One comment: The “Alamo” on the signs for the rental car returns route are very small and difficult to read at Logan especially as it is getting dark. Much larger “Alamo” signs similar to “Avis” or “National” would be helpful.

  Rating is based solely on the vehicle, NOT the customer service (which was great). Our car was not in the best shape. The front tires were almost bald, and we were driving on ice and snow. The key fob was weak (not sure if the battery was low or exactly why, but you literally had to be right beside the car to get it to work. Finally, the windshield wipers were worn out, making it difficult to clean the windshield in the snow and ice. Everything just smeared. Do better, Alamo!
