  I had a great experience at Sixt thanks to Kevin. He was professional, patient, and made sure I understood every detail of my rental, which made the process smooth and stress free. The way he handled everything with confidence and took ownership of the situation really stood out he carries himself with a level of responsibility and leadership you don’t always see. Highly recommend!

  ⭐ **ZERO STARS if that were an option** **SIXT** has delivered the single worst rental car experience of my life—dangerous, deceptive, and completely dismissive. We were **explicitly promised an AWD vehicle**. Instead, after **visiting TWO locations**, we were first given a car that **reeked of smoke**. Then, after spending **2 additional hours driving to another location and waiting**, we were handed a vehicle that was **falsely advertised as AWD**. It was NOT AWD It was RWD only. We only discovered this after driving all the way to Vermont, when the traction was so bad it became unsafe and frightening to drive on town roads in winter conditions. SIXT staff gaslit us repeatedly, insisting the car was AWD with all-season tires. I finally looked up the VIN myself, which confirmed the truth: rear-wheel drive only. Since then, I have: * Called over 5 times * Sent emails * Provided photos and videos * Been repeatedly promised a manager callback No one has EVER called me back. Not once. Today, after all of this, their only “solution” was: * Drive 4 hours back in dangerous winter conditions** to exchange the car, OR *Pay out of pocket for their roadside assistance towing, while losing our Airbnb, planned activities, vacation time, and compromising our safety. What you will get: * False advertising * Unsafe vehicle for winter travel * Gaslighting when confronted * Zero accountability * Zero follow-up * Zero customer care This company wasted our time, endangered our safety, and completely derailed our vacation. **DO NOT RENT FROM SIXT.** They will promise you one thing, give you another, and then disappear when it becomes a problem.

  One of the worst rental experiences I’ve ever had. After returning the car on time, I was told it had not been returned at all. Then I was told it was returned late and charged excessive fees. Based on my experience, and similar stories from other reviewers here, this location appears to operate in a very dishonest or incompetent way. I strongly recommend documenting everything if you rent here, or better yet, choosing a different location altogether. But I just wouldn't rent or return a car here.

  This is in regard to SIXT corporate (overseas), the main company is the issue. I rented twice out of Boston, MA. SIXT will charge your credit card when you are DONE with your rental. They send an email, charge the card & you have ZERO ways of reaching them via phone. SIXT customer service email does not get back to you. FIRST TIME: - SIXT charged me for not returning a full tank; I had to submit a picture & got refunded. - After I rented the second time (see below); I received a bill for tolls. SIXT charged me for tolls, yet I used my own transponder; I sent in proof & SIXT ignored. I opened claim with my credit card (I won). SECOND TIME: - Got a flat less then 24 hours; SIXT said to change the tire & they will refund me. Mechanic verified this was an old nail, took pics & put on invoice (I drove less than 5 miles and did not "pick up" a nail). SIXT did not reimburse me the $375. - 2 months after the rental, SIXT charged me for tolls, yet I used my own transponder, I sent in proof & SIXT ignored. I opened claim with my credit card (I won). - 4 months after rental, SIXT sent me an email & charged my credit card $395 for "not charging me correctly" on the original rental agreement. I had already paid in full per original agreement. I immediately called my cc, they reversed the charge, cancelled my cc & issued me a new cc so SIXT will stop charging me after the fact and at their own will. My credit card company told me to immediately open a BBB review. Do NOT use this company. They are a SCAM. Buyer beware.
