  This was an awful experience. Initially I enjoyed renting from Sixt. The representative was very friendly and nice to work with. However after returning the vehicle, Sixt is now claiming damage even though the car was entirely safe the entire time I had possession of it and there was no damage created. When I first arrived the rep offered me a different vehicle than i had reserved, the service members were still working on it when I arrived so went back in the sign the paperwork. I was told to wait for them to be done working on the vehicle and that I could drive off afterward. To me the car looked fine but I didn’t inspect it closely and drove off. The car was driven to my destination and back and was parked in a closed garage the entire time. Again no damage was done to the car. Unfortunately now they’re claiming over $1000 of damage to a car that was clean when I dropped it off. I’ve tried disputing this charge but customer service was unwilling to hear about the situation. Unfortunately this does not seem out of character for their location, many of the reviews on google claim similar treatment. I will not rent from Sixt again and wouldn’t recommend anybody use this company ever again.

  Horrible experience, would not rent there if my life depended on it and they had the last ambulance. Made me go back home to get my passport because a real id and a us drivers licence is not enough for a Toyota Corolla at this dodgy underground rental place. Then charged me 45 usd because I did not get the toll pass (for total tolls of 18 usd), despite me clearly stating I’m am going out of state, but hey, you make the margins however you can when you’re a low cost car rental provider.

  Overall a great experience . I liked the fact that the Sixt was at the Marriott hotel (Court Yard @ Cambridge; Mass). The staff was helpful and ran two separate senarios to make sure I got the best deal. The BMW X1 was a great vehicle and performed well and was very economical on Gas. Drop off was easy as the key can be dropped off at the designated kiosk at the hotel. My only grip is with the toll free customer service. The AI assistant kept repeating my question and didn’t connect me to a live customer service rep. Ultimately my question was answered by the ‘live’ hotel staff!
