Do NOT use Sixt unless you want to have extra charges come through later and get no response from Sixt. We selected a toll package with our rental, have proof of this on email receipts. A few weeks after our rental we recieved an additional bill for an administrative fee for tolls that should only apply if we have not selected a toll package. We tried calling Sixt and got told to call customer service, then fines, then to send an email. We have sent several emails and can not get this resolved. We would not recommend or use Sixt again.

I fly to Boston Logan regularly and 85% of the time I get a rental usually at the Popular High End companies. Always trying to get a deal for a cheaper rental and with the holidays I needed a rental quickly for four days. The other Name Rentals comp were very very expensive. So I read the reviews on I’mbooking.com about your rental company Sixt I was pleasantly surprised on the great comments. I still was a little worried because the price was excellent compared to the other rental places $150 less to be exact the same amount of days I downloaded the app put it my Information that was requested. Paid in advance for extra deal and got my confirmation email quickly confirmed then In the APP when I checked in I Got my barcode to bypass Any counter lines I went straight to a customer service booth where the cars are located. There was no line! They scanned my code. Got a key and left within 10-15 minutes. I had a brand new Ford Escape clean no dents or scratches , excellent condition. Inside and out. BEST RENTAL EXPERIENCE AT THE LOGAN LOCATION THAT I’VE HAD IN A LONG TIME I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS RENTAL COMPANY 100%. EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE. EXCELLENT CARS. QUICK RETRIEVAL OF YOUR CAR. I’M HOPING WHEN I RETURN IT. IT’S JUST AS EASY. THANK YOU SIXT !

I had planned to come give them 5 stars! However, my experience since then has been less than favorable. I had to cancel my TURO at my expense due to confusion with the owner. I needed a rental last minute and SIXT was the only company that was not sold out. The line was short, but I paid for it in paying three times the cost I would normally pay for a rental. However, since, it was not their fault that I needed something last minute I paid it. What has me upset is that I went out of my way to get cash to pay for tolls and they still charged me for tolls!! I have reached out to customer service three times to try to fix this and they still charged my card yesterday. So take what you will from this. If you want overpriced and an easy rental. Use them but avoid toll roads because they will charge you regardless.

I booked a car rental at SIXT Boston Logan Airport via Expedia, only to show up during a long holiday weekend to the airport and be told that my Canadian temporary driver's license would not be accepted, in spite of being able to also provide my passport and a photo copy of my prior driver's license I had just exchanged, more than meeting SIXT's own official requirements stated on their website to be able to rent with a temporary license. SIXT canceled my order and left me stranded in Boston when rentals at all of their competitors (who had no problem accepting my license) in the airport were now triple what I had already paid SIXT, and I ended up having to spend hundreds to instead use Uber all weekend. I didn't fight them on it, I just accepted the cancellation and asked them to please refund the rental, and was told by the branch manager that he had canceled the rental and I could proceed to call Expedia to receive the refund by the end of the weekend.
It has since been two weeks of non-stop back-and-forth phone calls and emails and chats between SIXT and Expedia, and neither provider will take responsibility for refunding my canceled car rental, because the branch manager failed to properly cancel my car rental on his end in their computer system, instead marking me as a "no-show" and making me ineligible for the full refund I am otherwise entitled to. He only left a note saying he needed to refund and cancel the order in my file, but failed to actually do the work to process the cancellation and I have lost over $1500 and hours of my life over the past two weeks to correct a mistake that was made because he refused to accept my legally valid license in the first place.
I have since been told by SIXT customer service that the denial did in fact violate their official policies, and the entire branch has been reported to SIXT. I have also reported both SIXT and Expedia to the Better Business Bureau and MA Office of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation, as should anyone who has been put in a similar situation by the extreme incompetence of SIXT and Expedia.
If I could give them a -5 instead of 1 star I would.
