    We needed a car asap for our move to Canada. We had some payment issues and had to do our rental in two parts. Our local Boston agents were understanding, flexible, and got us what we needed right away. When we needed to call back the next day to extend the rental, they were cooperative and pleasant. Thank you, Enterprise. For making this part of a complicated journey so much easier. We highly recommend Enterprise for the quality of their cars but more importantly, for the quality of their team.

    I had a terrible experience at the Enterprise Car Rental at Boston Harbor Garage. I’ve rented close to a hundred cars from Enterprise over the years, many of them with a debit card, and I have never had an issue, until this location. When I arrived, I was told I couldn’t rent because I had an out-of-state license and was planning to use my debit card, even though I live in Rhode Island (a reciprocity state) and work in Boston. Meanwhile, right before me, a white man was allowed to rent a car even though he openly admitted he would be driving without his actual license on him, he only had a picture of it and his Passport. Don’t believe me, check the tapes. He was still given the grace to complete his rental, while I was denied. The double standard could not have been more obvious. The bald head woman at the front was just a dismissive as the guy on the phone who was also at this specific location. I called to confirm the license policy, I wanted to be sure if a person can rent a car without an actual license in hand before I wrote this review. By the way, the dismissive man on the phone confirmed that renting a car with just a picture of your license is NOT allowed but I seen it happen with my own eyes. I fully understand that companies have rules and policies, and those should absolutely be followed. But those rules should be applied fairly and consistently to everyone no matter their race, or gender. Sometimes it’s your own people who treat you the worse. On top of being denied the rental, this created additional problems because I had redeemed points to make my reservation. Since it was past the reservation time, I was unable to cancel on my own and had to call the Enterprise 1-800 number multiple times over two days. Even after all of that, the denied reservation is still showing in my account and the points have yet to be redistributed. The entire experience left me feeling singled out, disrespected, and inconvenienced. I had read the negative reviews for this location and felt uneasy when booking, but I decided to give them a chance. This experience only confirmed those bad reviews. I won’t be returning to this Enterprise location, and I strongly encourage others to think twice before booking here.
