I’ve only purchased a few items from here but use it as a UPS shipping location to send items out often. I will note that I give UPS (NOT this advance auto parts) a 1 star. I dropped off a priority overnight package expecting for UPS to pick it up at night. They didn’t. The UPS driver never showed up. My package had to be kept frozen so I was forced to return here ASAP next morning to take the package pack, reopen it and put the contents back in the freezer. Looking through my shipment history, UPS has taken up to 3 days to pick up from this location sometimes. Again, the employees were great. One of them let me in the store before opening time and returned my important package to me. But don’t EVER send anything important or time sensitive via UPS from here.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
