  Living in Louisiana i have yo deal with chipped and cracks on my windshield alot unfortunately. I have always used safelife AutoGlass in Walker almost exclusively, because of their great customer service and quality of work. Will be a customer of theirs for a long time.

  My technician was great and did a professional job on the install of my windshield all in my driveway. I didn’t have to spend a weekend taking it somewhere and waiting on it.

  I had my windshield replaced here, and just a few days later we had heavy rain. After the storm, I discovered approximately three gallons of standing water in my truck’s floorboard. After inspecting the vehicle, my husband found that the cowl seal at the bottom of the windshield had not been properly reinstalled during the windshield replacement. Because of this, rainwater was diverted directly into my HVAC system and then dumped into the interior of my truck. When I brought the truck back to the shop, we already had photo and video evidence documenting the problem but did not initially tell the technician. Interestingly, the technician repaired the cowl seal without ever acknowledging that it had been installed incorrectly. He later called my husband and insisted the windshield installation was fine and claimed the leak was likely coming from the amber marker lights on the roof of the truck. These lights were never touched during the windshield replacement, and there is no visible damage to them. After the repair, the truck was water tested again and did not leak, which clearly indicates the improperly installed cowl seal was the source of the problem. Because several gallons of water entered my vehicle, we requested that the carpets be professionally cleaned and that the truck be inspected for possible water damage under the dash and to the electronics. The manager refused and instead offered to shampoo the carpets himself, leave the doors open, and run fans inside the truck to dry it out — despite the humidity in southeast Louisiana being around 92%. Allowing gallons of water to enter a vehicle due to improper installation and then refusing to properly address the potential damage is unacceptable. At minimum, I expected professional remediation and inspection to ensure there would not be long-term issues such as mold, mildew, or electrical damage. If you choose to have work done here, I strongly recommend thoroughly inspecting your vehicle afterward.
