  I have been a loyal enterprise customer but the last two rentals have been terrible. A couple months ago, I rented a vehicle to drive to Nashville and the check oil light came on, saying it was low. I pulled off the highway and checked the oil and it was true. There was actually no oil in the car at all so it was not drivable. There I was 2 hours into my drive at an unsafe gas station and I had to wait for a tow truck back to my apartment and then hitch a ride 2AM to the new orleans airport enterprise to swap the vehicle out. They reimbursed me for half the trip which was fair. We accept that accidents happen the first time. This recent trip is what made me extremely frustrated and dissaponted. I wanted to head down to Tampa for my birthday, my sister was with me to join in on the drive and see my family. I rented an intermediate sized SUV from them, they gave me a Ford Bronco, it had 18K miles on it and it seemed fine. My sister cautiously asked questions and let them know we had experienced a car with maintenance issues prior. 6 hours into the trip the AC compressor seized and thank god the belt did not snap. We had to drive to the Gainesville airport at 11PM and had to swap out for a smaller sized Sedan. They wanted to tow us and we had no where to stay if that happened. The enterprise at Gainesville was shocked to hear what happened. We ended up missing my birthday. Then the next day we had to go and swap out the rental we received from gainesville at the tampa international airport which further cut into my birthday time with my family. We reached out to this branch, explained that we should be fully compensated for the trip. The Tampa enterprise said that independent enterprise locations can hold off on doing maintenance to benefit their management financially. They said this is not the companies policy in regards to quality and maintenance and that it was ridiculous to hear that Keenan the ‘regional as he calls himself’ said this is a common occurrence. Keenan at the Slidell location started to argue with us and then made it difficult for us to reach out to corporate with our complaints, who, when got ahold of them, agreed that we should be full compensated. Then today, they called to tell us that somehow a rock bypassed the running guard on the bronco and hit the compressor and made it seize. If the running guard was installed properly this would not be an issue. Clearly goes to prove our point that they do not do proper maintenance. My family runs a mechanic shop and as a chemical engineer Ive worked on cars for the entirety of my life, and that was the wildest statement I have ever heard from the manager Keenan. The manager then tells me he will still charge half for this trip and he was letting us know that we won’t be charged for the compressor since it was covered under warranty, which further proves the gaslighting tactics when the reason why this issue happened was their fault. There’s more to this where my sister contacted them when we got into Tampa and they said they don’t do maintenance and check for things like that, which is a completely crazy thing to say to a customer, and we have him saying this on recording. He just kept brushing us under the rug. His response of concluding that it was our fault from his ‘team’ and that we should be charged half is ridiculous. The principle of the matter is important in this situation for us. It’s disrespectful to hear we caused this when we see the car was poorly maintained and caused issues on its own during our drive which we will be disputing and requesting this branch to be investigated and for corporate to please reach out. We will pursue this legally for the principle of being lied to.

  We have rented with enterprise for over 10 years. Dealing with this location has been terrible. They have provided us with two cars that have broken down on two separate occasions. The ‘area’ manager is lackadaisical in taking accountability. We live in Slidell and will no longer be using this location. Dismissive customer service, no accountability on correcting a situation that has happened twice, and they have gaslit us by saying this is a common occurrence. Corporate please note your area manager Keenan says your policies don’t apply to maintenance standards that are promised. Instead he does not care that this is our second failed car nor does the branch apologize. His response the first time was ‘what do you want’ I’ve called corporate 4x at this rate. This whole branch seems unorganized and Keenan takes pride in saying everytime we call it comes back to him? We will be filing a credit card dispute and we will be reporting this to our local state bureau FTC and BBB. This is concerning to have two vehicles fail and then to be lied to about it being our fault. The truth of the matter is now important and as a customer being lied to by an internal investigation from independently managed branches is wrong. We will proceed externally.

  The new management isn’t any help at all just sits back and watch the guy at the front desk continue to lie to not only me but two customers I was behind. He told this one lady that she couldn’t use a debit card and she replied she just used a debit card with the previous rental she got from the Frank Pichon location. Mind you I’ve been going to this same enterprise rental location for several years and all I ever used was a debit card. Also my insurance made a reservation for me twice and he said no cars was available when someone came in behind me no reservations or anything and received a car. Maybe I’ll file a discrimination suit because this is unacceptable please bring back the old management and crew from the previous years because I don’t know if this particular Slidell enterprise is franchise but they’re conducting bad business. I will be giving the owner a call in regards to these occurrences.
