I showed up today and the guy immediately remembered me before I could give him the part number for the fluid. That is some amazing customer service. His name was Melvin. He definitely deserves a raise!
- DDDadMar 29, 20265.0Stopped in for a couple gallons of Rain-X. Decided to get Rain-X wipers also. Young man at the counter was very cordial & installed wipers for me. I dropped a gallon of the solvent, top came off & spilled quite a bit. He offered to replace the damaged container. I declined as it was my fault. Great customer service. If he was back in NY at one of my parts stores I would hire him !!

Came back the next day and they couldn’t find the battery. I was told the manager would contact me after reviewing the camera footage to find out what happened, but that never happened. I’ve called multiple times and shown up in person but now I’m out almost $300 because they lost my battery.

Signs of a bad car battery can range from the need for frequent jump starts, slow to start, cranks or clicks but won't start, dash lights work but the vehicle won't start, etc.

HOW DO BRAKES WORK?

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
