  This was the worst service I've ever received from a car rental agency and heard from locals that the poor service is typical of National at this airport. They did not deliver the rental car as promised to the FBO and were not available at the desk after I landed. I had to rely on Lyft to get where I needed to go. The manager did not respond back to my complaint the following day.

  MLU has the worst choices of vehicles but National across the country hasn’t been the same since they dumped all their cars during Covid. By far National use to be the best. Comfortable, HiTech, larger SUV in the Executive isle. Today it is hit or miss. MLU is like pulling teeth to get upgraded to a real SUV. Not some puny cross over with hard uncomfortable seats. I feel like I’m in a hamster cage. There was a time when there was a 50/50 shot at a Cadillac SUV. Now it’s 50/50 you can get something bigger than an Edge or Compass. Shame but Bational is no better than any one of the others.

  Extremely poor and unprofessional service at the National Car Rental – Monroe Regional Airport. On Thursday, March 5, 2026 around 2:00 PM we attempted to pick up a reserved vehicle from National Car Rental. Our original reservation had already not been honored previously because the location had given away all available vehicles. When we returned with a new reservation, the employee repeatedly attempted to deny service for different reasons. First we were told debit cards were not accepted. After explaining airport locations allow debit cards with a return flight, we were told our Chime card would not work. To resolve this we opened a new checking account with a local bank and returned with a new debit card. Then we were told our return flight from Shreveport was not acceptable because it was not leaving from Monroe. When we offered to change our return flight to Monroe, the explanation suddenly changed and we were told a Monroe return flight would not be accepted either. When we asked for the employee’s name and the manager’s name so we could follow up, they refused to provide either. After realizing we intended to file a complaint, the employee cancelled our reservation without our request and told us they would not provide service. We also asked for the company policy being used to deny service and that was refused as well. I have an audio/video recording of the interaction if corporate would like to review it.
