  Quite literally the worst rebuild I’ve ever had done, though completed in a timely manner it was half cheeked start to finish. If I wanted it half assed, I would have done it myself on a dirty shop floor. I dropped the transmission off covered in grease from pulling it myself. I had all of the tools, except the jack in my vehicle. Why in the world would you try to pull a fast one on the guy covered in grease? I asked for a diagnosis of what caused the previous failure to happen. This diagnosis was never given. Upon receiving the call for pick up; I immediately requested my build sheet, which would contain the parts that were replaced during the build. I received a picture of my receipt via email, “bench job e450 hd”. I’ve sent a couple emails requesting the build sheet. I will be pulling the pan tomorrow to inspect, and hopefully not once again pulling a transmission. 1500-2000 miles is what I made it on a $2800 rebuild. I theorize my original tcc and valve body were reused, as the external electrical components were also the same ones from drop off. It immediately exhibited harsh shifts and a rear main seal leak. This was addressed in the emails. Plugged vent tube, would cause the immediate rear main leak. Intermittently it wouldn’t lock up, tcc issue. Now the torque converter is rattling like Michael J Fox after he gets wound up, which would also indicate tcc. There was zero fluid in the thing upon reception as well, which to me means there was no bench test preformed before sending it out the door. Absolutely disgusted and disappointed is an understatement. Thank you for leaving me stranded again a mere 7 days after instillation was completed. Glad my family will not make ends meet for however long it takes to solution this issue.

  I had some work done by a “Shade Tree” mechanic in which my 700R4 was rebuilt. Long story short, my reverse gears burned up. Out of frustration I came to Twin City Transmission Service and they got it done the right way with professional and prompt service with a one year warranty. A lesson learned but now my OBS Chevy performs.
