The process started with a driver who was unable to locate my address for pickup without my explicit turn-by-turn guidance. The vehicle he arrived in was filled with a foul smoke odor, a problem that plagued my entire experience. The first rental car assigned to me was in deplorable condition. It smelled strongly of smoke, had a rim that was clearly damaged from striking a curb, and, most alarmingly, shook uncontrollably on the interstate. I returned it immediately for safety reasons. The replacement vehicle was somehow even worse, permeated by an acrid smell of old cigarettes that was impossible to tolerate. While the third car they provided was finally acceptable, the incompetence resurfaced during my contract renewal. I was called into the office after 30 days only to be ambushed with a near-doubling of my rate, from $195 to $365 a week. This shocking price increase, after the litany of issues I endured, is indefensible. Due to the consistent lack of professionalism and quality control, I will be taking my business elsewhere permanently.
