Something has to be either REALLY good or REALLY bad for me to bother to write a review. My wife THOUGHT she had found a very good tire shop. Jerome has been so friendly and helpful and their prices were reasonable. But something happened today that will make us never use Mavis again, and we will warn everyone we know against using Mavis. They evidently have a poor way of screening people before hiring them. Or at least testing for common sense and general good character. My wife went in several days ago to get 4 new tires.They broke a couple of the tire pressure sensors in the process. She went in with NO tire light and left WITH a tire light. They seem to be pretty unskilled when it comes to tire pressure sensors. They had replaced some tires on my daughter's car a couple of weeks ago and broke at least one of her sensors, too. So they certainly need some "tire pressure sensor" training. They did replace the broken sensors on my daughter's car and all was good with that. They told my wife to go back in when she got a chance and they would replace the faulty sensors. She went today ( Friday, Nov 7). She left the tire shop today WITH a tire light AND a damaged car. I guess Mavis hires anyone off the street who wanders in. The little idiot who jacked her car up evidently didn't know that there are jacking points and you can't just jack up a car anywhere . He crushed a side panel of the car. A BRAND NEW car. My wife noticed it when she opened the door and it made a popping sound. Here's the part that really gets me. The guy didn't tell anyone. He damaged the car, KNEW he damaged the car, and didn't say a word, hoping she wouldn't notice. Does Mavis REALLY want unskilled AND dishonest employees ? If he'll try and hide THIS, what ELSE will he try to hide? Did he tighten your lug nuts ?? Who knows ? I am a mechanic by trade. If I were to damage something and try to hide it, I would be fired on the spot. And rightly so. But evidently the company I work for has higher standards than Mavis tire. Beware of using Mavis tire in Lake Charles, LA. Unless you want your vehicle to come out in WORSE shape than it was when you went in. I just wanted to share our experience. Make your own Decision.

Mavis was more than willing to assist. I showed up with intentions of paying and the kind gentleman insisted there was no need. Furthermore, they worked with my schedule and allowed me to pick it up the next day. Top quality customer service and professionalism! Very pleased!

The first time I went for a problem with my brakes. They inspected it with care and then gave a reasonable quote, but what made the difference is that they made sure to explain exactly what needed to be done and and even showed me the brakes so I could see for myself. The brakes were changed within a few hours and without any issues, but what truly set them apart was their customer service, how they treated me with so much care, respect and patience. The second time I went was for a quick tire fix. I called at 6:00 pm and they squeezed me into their schedule, so by 7:40 I was on my way home with my newly-fixed tire. Incredible. With fair prices, quick and efficient work, and the utmost dedication to their customers, Mavis Tires & Brakes is the place to go for any car troubles. Thank you for your dedication!
