I purchased a pre-owned Tesla Model Y Performance from Courtesy last month and traded in my Model X. At the time of the sale, I fully disclosed the issues with my trade-in to the salesperson and also showed them through photos and videos. Because I live two hours away, Courtesy sent a driver to deliver the vehicle and return with my trade. That driver did not properly document or inspect the trade, despite being given time to look it over and being verbally informed of its condition.
After the vehicle arrived back in Lincoln, I received an extremely rude message from the sales manager regarding the trade. He then attempted to void the contract, claiming the driver had me “sign in the wrong color ink.” I made it clear that I had been transparent about the vehicle’s condition from the beginning, and that I am not responsible for the dealership’s failure to properly inspect or document the trade at pickup.
Since then, I’ve discovered that the vehicle I purchased was not properly reconditioned. The windshield wipers were worn out, the HEPA filter needed replacement, the cabin air filter appeared to have never been changed, and the rear driver-side tire was sold to me flat (run-flat tire). Altogether, I’ve had to spend about $1,000 out of pocket to address basic maintenance items that should have been handled prior to sale.
I sell cars for a living, and when purchasing from a large, corporate dealership like Lincoln, there’s an expectation of a certain standard of reconditioning and professionalism — at minimum, basic maintenance items such as filters and tires. I’ve been especially disappointed in the response from my salesperson, who simply told me to “get with service,” rather than attempting to help resolve the issues. Even more frustrating, the sales manager viewed a photo I sent of the flat tire a week after purchase and chose not to respond at all.
Overall, this experience has been extremely disappointing and far below what I would expect from a dealership of this size and reputation.

This our first Lincoln vehicle and when I first call I got a call from Mr Richard Lewis sales representative and he was very professional and courteous when I got there he showed my Avaitor and we took we it for a ride and he was very informative on this vehicle and he didn’t force pressure on the sale he let the vehicle sale it self. Then Mr Christopher Primeaux General manager approached us and introduced himself and he was very polite and very professional told him on the vehicle I wanted to trade in and gave me a very good price on trade in. That also sold me on Lincoln customer service. And my wife came and saw the vehicle and she was impressed on the vehicle.
I can’t say enough good things about your sales representative and General Manager they are top notch employees
